Anyone bought bean bag sofas at Ideal Home Show?

At the Ideal Home show I spent £250 on a bean bag sofa and a chair from a company called Jools International. I am getting concerned about this as no one knows what's going on when you ring up, every time I speak to them my order is wrong etc etc. Can anyone put my mind at rest that this company is OK and that they have received their order? Hi JayneGray
Many thanks for setting up the facebook page - I hope it means more people see this before engaging with Richard Wood.
I just wanted to say from our experience, don't let Wood take away your damaged Brolly without getting him to sign a return note. He took back two damaged brollies from us and he just told the bank we still had them. Had to take him to court (he settled 5 days before).

Well done and Thank you for the Facebook page. It would be such a shame if he lost his Maserati that he drives around in with his Disabled Badge.

I run a pub by the sea in Cornwall and Richard Wood of Hampshire Garden Furniture sold me 4 Jumbrolly's in 2013 saying they will stand up to the wind & rain. I thought this was ridiculous as there's nothing between us & America apart from ocean so it's quite windy here.

He said they do survive the elements and there's a life time guarantee anyway. It was the life time guarantee that finally persuaded me to purchase them. The wind did not treat them kindly as expected and ask Mr Wood to get them fixed under the life time guarantee. Now he saying that they were burnt an slashed with a knife! Therefore I need to pay for them to be fixed.

About 6 weeks ago I asked for a copy of the original invoice, pictures of damage to verify what he said & a quote to get them fixed, as yet I've had nothing from him.

He is patronising, arrogant and a con man. I would advise people not have anything to do with him.

I'm hoping trading standards will put him out of business.

Hi DriftyLou. I am also in Cornwall - are you at Tintagel as I have heard a story about him selling the brollies to someone there & they blew over and hurt someone (despite guarantee to the contrary). I just wondered if that was you & there's any truth in it (before I get done for defamation!). Have you joined my facebook page www.facebook.com/RichardWoodRipOffConMan - if so could you inbox me as I'm hoping to get local newspaper coverage, and they could maybe interview you too as you are local. Thanks

An update on our dealings with Wood and Hampshire Garden Furniture, We have got our money back from the credit card but he is still continuing to trade. He is at decorex on 20 September and I have advised them of him and have also discovered he is banned from the Yorkshire show and Norfolk show. I have also written to many other events and advised them of this man. I have also advised the guild if master craftsmen that he is using their logo on his brochure when he shouldn't as he is no longer a member. I have complained to trading standards and also reported him to Action Fraud. The more people that do this the better, he must be stopped,

Please can everyone go to Trustpilot to register their view on HGF. You can get there from the second post on this site: jumbrolly.wordpress.com/
It might help others! Hopefully the reviews will appear in prime position on a Google search.
Thanks.

Inside Out tonight (22 Feb 2016) have done a great piece on Richard Wood and Hampshire Garden Furniture Ltd. Hopefully this will make far more people aware!

Mr. Richard Wood, called us in Jan 2015 and asked if we could quote him for the Gazebo. He said he wanted us to make one as sample then he would visit for quality control & if everything was OK he would order 100 units over the period of an year. He wired money for the sample, we gave him the lead time for visit. He visited together with Valerie. They approved the sample and negotiated price for 100 units to be delivered over the period of nine months. He paid a 50% deposit for the first shipment of 15 units and was supposed to pay the balance once the shipment was ready after 45 days. Once the order was ready, we asked him to pay the balance as agreed but he wanted us to send the shipment, he would pay in full once he received the shipment. We refused to do so. After that he didn't answer our phone calls, emails and left us with his 15 units of Gazebos.
