Washing machine - Indesit or AEG?

We need a new washing machine. Have browsed the latest Which report and found two contenders - the Indesit WIL 143 (approx £200) and the AEG L64810.

Both score similarly in Which tests, but the Indesit falls down on reliability according to the Which customer survey. They don't really quantify this though, so I don't know how many more years I could expect to get out of the AEG.

Other considerations are the environmental impact of buying more cheaper washing machines against fewer more expensive ones, and the fact that there's an Indesit factory in our town, so it feels like buying local

Which one should we get?

I have an Indesit and have had it for 16 years. Had to replace the brushes a few years back but apaart from that it keeps on going. It has lasted through two babies and now copes with endless muddy football kits.
