Good thread. Would like to join in. Used to be 32E but as I'm still breast feeding am currently wearing 34H. Have some J's somewhere in the drawers as well. I'm cutting down and they are thankfully starting to shrink a little. Thanks for the La Senza link.

Wrote to Bravissimo a few months back to beg them to get someone to make pretty bf bras in large sizes but unfortunately they are not sure there is a market so I feel we need to speak up!

sunchowder · 16/04/2004 19:41

Just found this thread too! I have you all topped in Girth!!! I am a whopping 44C! Can't do underwire anymore, my gall bladder told me so. Love all the good info on the thread--but noticed the ones recommended don't usually go above a 40. I noticed they were going cross-eyed last year and now they are always looking down....damn gravity....

Codswallop · 16/04/2004 19:44

I think we predominate on mn!

israel · 16/04/2004 19:59

....gosh...realised after reading some /not all of the posts that I'm quite normal...38H...I hate them and have recently found I am having problems with my posture and shoulders....I keep trying to loose weight in the hope they will get smaller but find it too difficult.
Has anyone else found they have problems with backs/shoulders?

tomkitty · 20/04/2004 18:48

34F, but 27 weeks pg and hoping they will go back down to 32D after bf.

www.lessbounce.com is my best friend.

Codswallop · 20/04/2004 18:48

am sure they will!

welcome to our gang

Demented · 20/04/2004 22:57

Does anyone else who is small round the back and big out front think their bra looks ridiculous? I was looking at my hanging on the washing line the other day and thought it looked really odd, all cup and no round the back bit.

Demented · 20/04/2004 22:58

Kiwisbird, I got the Triumph Amourette this time (and last time) too, very nice bra and comfy.

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 11:00

demented arnt you a 32e er?

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 12:09

have bought two bikinis form M and S

had to get 34 dd as no 32e

bea · 21/04/2004 15:10

ooo! how i long to wear a nice supportive underwired bra (still in very round matronly breastfeeding Bra from mothercare!)... just been surfing the the Bravissimo site.... they look lovely... and have now promised myself that when i finish the b'feeding... will troop down there and have a spending spree!

miffy2 · 21/04/2004 15:29

Another member here! Normally 34E (seem to get bigger after each child, so much for b/f reducing size - sniff). Am currently 14 wks pg and am going to Bravissimo this weekend to treat myself to something slightly more generous...
Without Bravissimo I would be lost TBH. I hate looking in magazines or shops and finding nothing over a D cup...

Demented · 21/04/2004 18:50

Yes Coddy, 32E but one side is starting to feel a bit empty already (just replaced my bras a few weeks ago).

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 18:54

oooh traitor

bluebear · 21/04/2004 21:38

I'm not breastfeeding during the day anymore and and itching to get a proper bra to return to work in (oh, alright I'll put a top on as well). I live 10 mins away from the bravissimo shop so... a) how long should I leave it before succumbing so I'm not still losing inches of boob ( gone down 1 cup size so far - have been minimal bfeeding for about a week now)
b) anyone recommend a bravissimo bra that's pretty, balconette but doesn't look obvious under a T-shirt?

mammya · 22/04/2004 01:25

Any chance of Bravissimo becoming a mumsnet discount partner?

tomkitty · 22/04/2004 09:41

Where are these bravissimo shops? I have only seen them online.

Codswallop · 22/04/2004 09:44

bluebear · 22/04/2004 13:50

mammya - I wondered that too - We need a mumsnet discount!

Tomkitty - List of shops is in Clayhead's post 25 march 11.57

I am trying to hold off buying anything until boobs have 'settled' (probably somewhere round my knees), but have already gone and browsed once - they haven't labelled which are balconette in the shop..and i find it hard to tell on a hanger..
Going to check out your links now coddy.

bea · 22/04/2004 13:56

what's the difference between a balconette and your average bra?

sorry for being a bra not know how!

bluebear · 22/04/2004 14:16

The cups on a balconette don't cover the top of your bosom compared to a full cup bra where all of the breast should be in the cup. I wear low V neck tops so a full cup would be on display..I prefer to display my chest
