Coddy- love the red/olive one shame about the pants - would make me look like Bella Emberg. Tempted by it anyway..but do like to own matching pants even if I don't manage to wear them at the same time.

Like the Brav. white one too (and nice pants)..nipple show through can be such a problem (ok..I admit giggling as I typed that)

Got to feed baby she's eating my top.

bea · 22/04/2004 14:32

so i take it that even thoughw e are more endowed ladies! the balconette style of bra is just as supportive... as i thought only the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder is the only style of bra i am condemmed to wear... even though i have ahd some quite pretty ones (but always very functional! ) in the past!...

dh got very excited at the thought of me going to bravissimo where i intend to hold a spending spree once boobs have settled... i firmly told him that the nice undies were for me and NOT for him!!!!!

bluebear · 22/04/2004 15:29

Supportive enough for me and I'm a E/F cup normally. Not ideal for jogging in ,I just hate the feeling of boobs in the armpits..most balconettes seem to shove them right in front out of the way.

prettycandles · 22/04/2004 20:37

In the Bible, sorry, the Bravissimo catalogue, they describe bras as 'full cup', '3/4 cup' and 'balconette'. I think I'm clear now on what a balconette is, but what's the difference between full cup and 3/4? I can't see any difference.

Codswallop · 24/04/2004 18:22

no idea PC

Metrobaby · 26/04/2004 21:46

Does anyone know whether an underwired bra is better than a non-underwired bra?? And also if you are bf, can you wear underwired bras??

meandthomas · 28/04/2004 11:55

I dont think I'd want to wear an underwired bra while bf. Impractical for accessability!

Bravissimo is great. so is www.mother-nature.co.uk ( i think thats right) if not google comes up with it. for nursing bras.

notentsplease · 04/05/2004 21:11

there is a shop in rainham kent if anyone is near that stocks and orders larger sizes for breaast feeding and mat bras. Patter of Tiny Feet. web www.thepatteroftinyfeet.co.uk

LadyMuck · 19/05/2004 20:31

www.bravissimo.com -click on start shopping, then the sport and nursing section. There is one by Anita lingerie there, goes up to 40H. Black and white. £31.50. Sorry can't do links!!! Hope this helps!! Good luck

hoxtonchick · 20/05/2004 15:20

I love Bravissimo, this is today's purchase (just the bra). Can recommend the new shop in C. Garden, virtually empty. I was highly tempted by another one but couldn't quite bring myself to pay £40. Oh, & apparently I'm a 36 G now.

Clayhead · 20/05/2004 15:33

No, no, no, please no more tempting links!!!!!

KeyCODDYplayer · 28/05/2004 11:23

codswallop · 09/06/2004 13:12

they were no good fo rme the tops as I am quite chbby under my arms - does that make sense?

willow2 · 09/06/2004 13:20

Metrobaby - if I remember correctly you shouldn't wear an underwired bra whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. (I was a 44H when feeding - ffs - am now a 34E thank heavens!)

codswallop · 09/06/2004 17:18

need anewbalconette - any recommendations please?

Clayhead · 09/06/2004 18:23

Coddy, my fellow 32E person, I would recommend the Panache one on page 12 of the new Bravissimo catalogue, PN39. It is great. It is 3/4 cup rather than balconeete though, is there a big difference? [insert clueless face]

wow I love this thread!

Can I join? Used to be 36c pre-pregnancy but I'm now 36e and growing...when will they stop???

With my first preganncy I only went up 2 sizes and by 12 weeks they had stabilised, this time round it doesn't seems to end...(i've already spent a small fortune on bras and a couple of them don't fit me anymore!!!

I'm going to try bravissimo in c/g tomorrow, I'm convinced!!
