Oh, it's come to me - it's a garnier one I think

ledodgy - I've heard good things about fakebake - but someone said it gets all over the bedclothes and doesn't come out - how do you apply it?

winniewoo · 12/05/2006 18:52

Was recommended the Lancome one by my SIL. There are several kinds but this is the mousse which goes on brown and then works on your skin. I bought and tried..it is fantastic! I love it! Not too dark, easy to apply, instant tan, just sinks into skin. 18 pounds a can. beware if you want to look really dark this is probably not for you but for me it is perfect ( takes the milk bottle look away!)

Ledodgyherring · 12/05/2006 19:36

Puff - my bedclothes are fine. You put it on with gloves it's dark in colour so you know where to apply it. then you have to wait at least 20 minutes for it to dry, which is a bit of a pain as you have to stand round in the buff lol. I usually do it of an evening and once it's dry go to bed. When you wake up in the morning you look in the mirror and think "oh no it's all patchy" but then you have a shower and you are left with a perfect tan. I've got to do mine tonight as i'm off out tommorrow night. I got the 3 step treatment for dry skin which comes with an exfoliater and a moisturiser as well. I like it because it's not orangy at all and looks really natural.

Thanks Ledodgy - its had really good reviews on makeupalley too, so I think I'll try it.

Thanks fullmoonfish , it's bad enough jumping out the shower and applying one cream , let alone 3!!!

O.k. thi stuff is just working for me
Advice please ?

I have been exfoliating with a mitt.
I do not have an even coverage.
I have hardly any colour at all.
I have streaks.
It feels all sticky and tacky, all day long.
I put it on yesterday morning. This morning, our bed sheets are covered in it.

How come evryone else has such good results ?

LIZS · 17/06/2006 11:17

Apply sparingly but use a mitt to do so, that way you can smear more lightly but evenly. Not had a problem with it coming off on sheets even though I often put it on before bed.

I found that with the Johnsons, although I was streaky after one app, I kept going and it evened out. And when I stopped using it, it did fade quickly.

Now have a natural tan however [smug look]!!

I really like Lancome Flash Bronzer. I have just tried the leg gel (used it all over though, the woman said it would be fine) and the colour develops quickly plus it has a lovely sheen to it. I am really cack handed at putting make up on but even I can manage this, it's pretty easy.

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2006 11:40

Oh Lancome dries quite quickly too, plus smells nice :)

zippitippitoes · 17/06/2006 11:42

I have found abottle of Dove piel dorada locion hidrante bronceado suave on the kitchen table..is this the same sort of thing I wonder, should I try it [cheapskate emoticon]
