Motoring magazine show. Jon Bentley performs a world-first crash test between a Landrover Discovery and a Renault Espace. Tom Ford tries to outrun an Arizona sheriff in Audi's monster off-roader the Q7. Paul Dalton explains why customers are queueing up to spend 5,000 for a bottle of deluxe car wax. Aygo is great as a run around car. I drive on the motorway 3 days a week, an hour or so each way,, and it copes fine. not a huge amount of acceleration but not too bad. But yes - traction on a muddy field is not so good :) LOL! I like the fact I can plug my ipod into it Grin

Renault put a lot of emphasis on safety- they're known for it.

edam · 17/04/2006 23:03

Yeah but Renault also known for crap build quality (so the people who commission crash tests tell me).

Thanks.

Kanga - is there a repeat of this show at some point ? I'm curious as to how the two vehicles handled the deformation of the impact considering their very different designs.

yey my car's the safest!

Not that that really makes up for it being in the garage every week since I had it six weeks ago Sad

Volvos are well known for it and have been for 40 or so years. My family and I all have volvos and love them. My mum has a lovely new one Envy S40 and my auntie too. I have an old 440 to run the kids about in, but I love it. We used to have a 244DL which was great when our own kids were little as we used to go camping in France. It was huge and we filled it to the gills, but still so comfy! And built like a tank. No bumper damage in those days! A right old gas guzzler though.
