I must have been walking round with my eyes closed, never thinking I would need another pram. Well being 6 week preggers, ive started to notice them. My god they've changed. I saw something called a Quiny, yesterday. So who can help an old bird with these new fangled designs? Grin

I agree that they have changed! A lot of them look like ofice chairs with handles!
Can't help you with any info on them, as my youngest is now 3!
Congratulations on your pregnancy though!Smile

I have a quinny freestyle and I love it.
It's easier to push than a a little maclaren buggy even though it weigh twice as much (it might even be 3 times, very heavy anyway)

My youngest is 2.7yrs and has bags of room in it.

alot of new buggies/prams just scream "GIMMICK" at me and TBH are bloody awful!

lucy5 · 14/04/2006 15:18

Hehehehe Thats horrendous! It's not even pleasing to the eye. Thanks LTH I will steer well clear of those. Will investigate the Quinny further.

My freestyle has been replaced with a newer model(I can't remember the name, sorry)but it's nothing like mine.

We bought a three wheeler & now regret it. The front wheel is very bulky & takes up a lot of space in the boot. It's also very heavy.
The isofix system for the car seats is a handy thing, although they don't work in our car, so best to check.
Congrats on pregnancy.Smile

lol Me and Misdee were in a baby shop and she looked at the Stokke Xplory, I said it was bloodly awful and looked like a golf caddy trolley, the woman in the shop got all defensive about it. Misdee asked to see how small it folded down, which the lady did, I walked out the shop and I said to DH 'I think Misdee is taking the pee in there' Misdee came out just as I said it and laughed 'of course I was, its horrid' Grin

It's incredible how much they have changed. I think a bit further down the line I will have to testdrive a few!

dd is nearly 1 and we are on our 3 rd pram..Just ordered the Mutsy Spider.

I love it but suppose it's individual choice. BTW I hate the stoke one..!!!

Apparently according to tegan it will have a car seat attachment later this year so will be a travel system.

cod · 15/04/2006 14:02

adn theya re all so dull
i telll oyu there i am wiht my 7 yea rold maclareen buggy adn its so small and cool and allt hese women with emromou s greta things

cod · 15/04/2006 14:02

why are three whells good/

SHHHH · 15/04/2006 14:10

cod,the mutsy spider is so light and looks easy to fold away etc which is ideal for me as I struggle to put our current pram into my car boot. We also wanted to change it as we are due on hol soon and need something thats easy to fold, quick to fold, compact, lightweight and I also want a funky pram. It gets used most days so I wanted something I am happy pushing. My 1st pram was the m&p 3 in 1 and I use it now for walks etc..it was only after having dd that I realised how bulky, heavy and a nightmare to fold etc.

Who knows, maybe in 7 years time I will still have the same pram..! Grin.

I am also someone who loves to have updated things...

SHHHH · 15/04/2006 14:12

about the 3 wheels...think 3 weeks look funcky on some prams and they also allow alot more movement esp when shopping etc.

All personal choice though..why does someone buy a top of the range X5 and someone buy a 10 year old mini..????

tegan · 15/04/2006 20:31

shhh you know you won't have the same pram in 6 months let alone 7 years.

Lucy5 - go out and get every catalogue and brochure on buggies going it will really open you're eyes.

SHHHH · 15/04/2006 21:59

tegan, know what..you are right..!!!! Wink.

lucy5 · 15/04/2006 22:01

Thanks have started sending off for catalogues.

You cant go wrong with mamas and papas or maclaren

No fancy poncey rubbish from them

office chairs my ass

SHHHH · 15/04/2006 22:04

wb, maybe so but in our experience m&p wasn't the best but was the most expensive we bought..

blueteddy · 15/04/2006 22:04

I had a mammas & pappas followed by a maclaren!

blueteddy · 15/04/2006 22:05

My M&P was very bulky.

SHHHH · 15/04/2006 22:07

we found that with ours. Very nice looking and comfortable for dd but a nightmare on hols. Also quite heavy.

Janh · 15/04/2006 22:08

Congratulations, lucy Smile
