I must have been walking round with my eyes closed, never thinking I would need another pram. Well being 6 week preggers, ive started to notice them. My god they've changed. I saw something called a Quiny, yesterday. So who can help an old bird with these new fangled designs? Grin

I found it a nightmare to fold & put in the car. Only attempted to shop with it once (in busy shopping center) & it was a nightmare.
Wouldn't reccomend anyone buying one, unless maybe the pliko.

If I remember rightly I had a chicco but it was bulky and then I swapped to a pushchair but can't remember which brand.

don't get a 3 wheeler whatever u do!

We have a mothercare one that we used for about 4 months. very heavy, very bulky. altho it was a dream to push, till it got a puncture and i had to half drag said trolley the 20 min walk home laden with shopping and a short tempered toddler in the freezing cold weather feeling like my undercarriage was falling out.

Bought a pliko off ebay to tide us over and still using it now

It's funny 3 wheelers were only just coming into fashion when dd was about 1.

How old are your other children?

misdee · 15/04/2006 22:16

3 wheelers can be fab, but i suggest using slime in the wheels to avoid punctures, my phil and teds got a puncture on the way to take dd1 to school once, i struggled with it the rest of the way there and back. was ready to kick it when i got home.

hunkermunker · 15/04/2006 22:17

I have a Jane Carrera C, a Maclaren Quest and a Maclaren Rally Twin. Use them all, they're all fab.

misdee · 15/04/2006 22:21

i have an i'coo infinity, maclaren ryder and maclaren volo (volo is the only one that fits in my boot). theryder stays in peters car, and the infinity is my walking buggy and stays at home. they all get used regualary, and the infinity is my favourite as dd3 faces me in it. because i have to be ready to go at the drop of the hat peters car is packed ready to go (has travel cot, overnight bags and pushchair) so i generally dont remove it rom that car.

hunkermunker · 15/04/2006 22:23

Saw a Ryder today - why is it different from the Techno or Quest?

misdee · 15/04/2006 22:26

no adjustable handles, but is strurdier than the quest i think. i preferred the chesnut colour on the ryder. not as compact as the volo, but fits ok in peters car. when i got it dd3 slept more. i can just fit it in my car but leaves no room for any shopping.

Whatever you do steer well clear of M&P they are so much hastle.

hulababy · 16/04/2006 20:40

Not up tp date with these anymore now Dd is 4. BIL and SIL have gone for the ultra expensive Bugaboo. They really like it. It's not to my taste. but then I love the stokke Grin

We got a 3 wheeler by Torkq (sp?). Bought it in Belgium. It is so light and really easier to fit together. Was wonderful and always had people stopping us to ask us about it.

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2006 20:43

Not read whole thread but as an ex-nanny who has put up with a lot of dodgy prams and pushchairs, I chose the Mothercare Urban Detour 3 wheeler. The seat lies flat so it is suitable from birth, and it is very very comfortable for both pusher and pushee, with pneumatic wheels, swivel wheels and padded handle at a good height. You might want something to snuggle them up in when they are tiny as it is a full size pushchair for a toddler. However we used it from birth and ds often slept in there.
