New carseat just launched - Maxi Cosi Tobi - Anyone tried one ?

Even better than the Priori XP ? The Tobi has some mechanism to automatically move the straps out of the way to ease insertion and subsequent restraint of the child, and also has some 'belt tension is correct' type of indicator.

(Looky \link{http://www.maxi-cosi.nl/html/uk/index.html\here} - click seats / Tobi. Foul olours though).

Sounds quite clever and useful IMHO. Just wondered if anyone had tried one yet ?

That was supposed to be foul colours btw.

bump.

We've got the original Priori XP and it's fab.
The Tobi looks similar but with better features.

If you click on 'Collection' on the Tobi page it shows a list of colours it comes in, of which 'Black reflection' and 'Harry' are fine, very similar to my Priori XP.

Agree that some of the other colours are foul though!

I find that with dd in her Maxi Cosi Cabrio (birth to 9 months), the straps are always getting in the way and a bit of a faff, so I thought this new feature on the Tobi sounded eminently sensible.

I think we might go for this rather odd \link{http://www.maxi-cosi.nl/img/collection/60100660.jpg\colour way} which is growing on me (at first I vommed).

you'd think they'd get the picture of the seat to change colour - you can't make out anything from those little cicles. Am I missing something?

madeleines · 25/03/2006 20:02

that green and pink seat looks like an exotic flower - very appropriate for you. Smile

SleepySuzy · 25/03/2006 20:02

If you click on the circle, it changes

fruitful · 25/03/2006 20:03

Well at least if your dd throws up on it, it won't show...

Flossam · 25/03/2006 20:04

Shock I actually have a good car seat? The priori XP you rate it then Hub? Smile

Would rather have a nice colour car seat than that ugly colour though. I'll stick with my xp!

hub2dee · 25/03/2006 20:08

Oooh... here's a \link{http://www.babycare.nl/images/tobWagtail.jpg\bigger pic}. Grin

hi Flossam. Hope you are recovered from Mr. Essex. Yep, Priori XP seems to be v. clever.

LOL, fruitful.

I always knew I looked like an exotic flower. Smile

I imagine the webbing is attached to some kind of spring / elastic thingy which means its 'default' position is 'out of the way' rather than flopped just where kiddo goes.

Oh no, dw is having second thoughts now she's seen the big picture, LOL. 'Bit dayglo' where her exact words.

I am alone on an aesthetic island.
