I got a Kindle for Christmas. I thought I wouldn't really like it as I absolutely love books and always have one on the go.
Now, the family think it's an extension of my arm
. I download mostly free books and the classics. I do still read tree books. I've also now got a smartphone and have downloaded the Kindle app to that.
You can turn the Kindle off and on again and it won't lose your page. I've got the cheap one which is pretty small. You can read it in sunlight (I know you can read a book in sunlight, too). It's easier to read in bed than a book. That is all it's good for really, though, reading books.
You can read it in the bath, too. I've tried. It's easier to hold with one hand than a book.
If you don't like, though, don't leave it languishing in a cupboard - sell it.
