juicy tubes? no yuk, don't like them, too sticky, too smelly, and don't like the applicator.

ruby and millie lipgloss is excellent, however

hellomama · 05/02/2006 20:29

Well, I must be a complete mug because I bought Lancome Flash Balm today! I got the last of the Christmas skin special set with lipgloss, Flash Balm, eye balm, and Clarins Version of Touche Eclat - all for £32! (actually paid with Boots points which I have saved for 3 years! so it better be worth it!) I will keep you informed as to what I think.

Have to say that Juicy tubes are Yummy! I have one for every handbag and every coat pocket = LOADS!

virgin vie one step face base, foundation concealer and powder in one ,fabulous when you have no time

NottsMum · 06/02/2006 23:03

Am I the only one that uses Bare Escentuals foundation? It's absolutely fantastic, very light and natural looking with a gorgeous dewy look and covers uneven skin tone. I buy mine on ebay for about 20pounds (no pound sign on this keyboard!) A 9g pot lasts me about 4 months and I wear it every day. I could not be without it.

NottsMum · 06/02/2006 23:09

I forgot to ask, where can I buy Benefit Dandelion? You guys make me really want it but I would like to try it at a makeup counter before buying it blind.

Does it really suit all skin tones and hair colour? (I'm pale with dark brown hair)

Okay, question time over

Elf1981 · 07/02/2006 09:06

Nottsmum go to Boots. I'm taking a guess from your name that you're in Nottingham, if so, go to the Boots in Victoria Centre, they have a Benefit counter where you can have all the stuff tested on your skin, also you can book in for a free makeup lesson with them where they try all the stuff on you and show you have to use it. If you're not from Nottingham, any large Boots should have a Benefit counter.

gothicmama · 07/02/2006 09:07

benefit bad girl lash mascara
have heard there concealer is very good too

meggmoo · 07/02/2006 09:39

Their concealer(Benefit) is bril but very stodgy/think I have to mix it to use it.

tonton · 07/02/2006 12:08

Barbara Daly Tesco cream blush in 'nude'.
L'oreal true match foundation (very glowy).
MAC gel eyeliners in a pot.
Rimmel lasting finish lipsticks - great colurs and texture and v cheap!

On my 4th eyleash curler. My eyes seem to be the wrong shape for all the usual ones. Shiseido, shu umerra and tweezerman all pich me. Have prdered that heated one K.Moss is meant to use - 'Eyecurl'.

NottsMum · 08/02/2006 00:04

Thank you Elf. How ever did you guess I'm from Nottingham?!

brimfull · 08/02/2006 00:16

nottsmum,I've got the bare escentuals foundation.

Iwas really excited about it when I ordered it from qvc (sad I know) ,but I find it makes me look sort of metallic and shiny. It also tends to accentuate any fine lines around the eyes(not so young anymore..43)Maybe I'm not using it right.

mazzystar · 08/02/2006 00:33

Interesting socci. I ahve just bought the Christian Dior of the YSL radiant touch. I prefered the colour. But i'm not impressed so far. Seems to sink into the fine lines abit too much and looks 'dry'.

nitfreecod · 08/02/2006 16:48

Lily0305 · 09/02/2006 08:16

I have found Urban Decay and Bobbi Brown stuff recently at fantastic prices! Oh and some lovely Calvin Klein lipstick in gorgeous chrome case.

Try these, just a couple of the top of my head, but try googling for more!

For foundation, I'd recommend Armani luminous silk and/or Chanel Vitalumiere - I mix the two with a bit of the Armani fluid sheer and it works really well. The YSL faux cils mascara does exactly as it says - creates false lashes with no gloop. As a make-up base, I'd recommend Smashbox Photofinish Primer - smooths out your complexion and "grips" the make up so it lasts and looks fresh all day. Better than Beauty Flash Balm. MAC brushes are great - buy their brush cleanser also which cleans and conditions them. Chanel lip gloss is really nice - not sticky at all.
Can anyone tell me if Eve Lom cleanser is worthy of all the rave reviews and worth the money?
