Can you give me the pros and cons and do you recommend it?

TIA!

ndp - we manfully struggled to get three car seats in the back of one at the weekend - cant be done! Nice car though, but stupidly small.

The 5 series estate JUST fits three car seats in

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:39

we fit 3 seatrs in our old volvo acrros the back

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:40

fair play to you, enid. BTW, I'm with you on the Multipla, bit of a bargain because they are a marmite car (you either love em or hate em).

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:40

the integrated ones go in 2 side seats in new ones and in the middle one in the older cars

family pack integrated seats

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:41

yes dealers can't give them away

struggling to find a local 1.9 diesel version atm

also it must be GREEN for maximum bug effect

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:42
Grin
RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:45

so on XC90 if you have middle seat as integrated have 2 car seats in side ones

XC70 have side ones as integrated and middle one with car seat

What do you have now

1 booster and 2 car seats OR 2 boosters and 1 car seat??????

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:46

I think the voyager is just too much like a bus - I'd never be able to park the damn thing (I don't mean I can't park, I just mean finding a space )

Couldn't do a multipla - no way would dh go for that. He's already moaning about an estate! I'm driving the thing FGS!

It doesn't sound like you can go wrong with the volvo to me. Love the XC70 but V70 cheaper - we are just taking on an enormous mortgage and dh after, what I call, a ridiculous TV so can't go too silly!

OP posts:
RainbowWalker · 02/02/2006 12:48

Lol at the marmite car comment!

Wow that XC90 looks amazing - too posh a car for kids to wreck though, surely?

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:48

Kanga - we have 2 car seats and 1 booster but ds2 not far off a booster. So atm have 2 Britax Eclipse nad one highliner, soon to have 1 Eclipse and 2 highliners!

I won't get an XC70 for £15K total though will I? That's why I'm looking at V70.

OP posts:
Enid · 02/02/2006 12:50

dh will be having nothing to do with my multipla

it is MINe MINE MINE aha

doormat · 02/02/2006 12:50

zafira, love it
easy to drive and park
roomy boot if you have seats up

SPARKLER1 · 02/02/2006 12:50

We have a Toyota Avensis Verso - lovely car. We do seem to use a bit of petrol though - I do a lot of driving around town.

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:51

I hear they are fab doormat, but too small for me - can't get 3 seats across back.

OP posts:
RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:52

yes so go for 2 integrated seats then

may get XC70 for 15,000 is that + mondeo or straight cash ???

whereabout in coutry are you ?

are you prepared to travel?

please give me a postcode close to you and I willl find you a car

do yiou want auto or manual

petrol or dioesel

you can email me if you want rtkangamummy at yahoo dotr co uk

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:54

or do you want GEARTRONIC ?

what toys would you like ?

in which order of r=preference?

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:56

Can't get one just yet, will be a few months so just researching atm. But you could put in postcode WA14 as I'd be interested to see if there are any about at that price.

If I'm looking at £15K, I'm anticipating paying for half of it (more if poss) and borrowing half - depends which car we sell and where else we muster cash from to put down toward it - the rest probably loan as dh's car allowance will go toward payments.

This is my thinking anyway!

OP posts:
GDG · 02/02/2006 12:57

Manual
Never had diesel - not big on cars so not sure!
Any toys are good toys imo!

The best I can get for the money I guess.

OP posts:
GDG · 02/02/2006 12:58

what the devil is geartronic.

S**T - got to pick up ds2, speak later

None of which are anywhere near GDG

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 13:07

greartronic is an automatic that you can flick over to turn into a manual

There was a list of all of the available cars around the country atm from approved volvo dealers

will look through them later properly

they all have 7 seats IIRC

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 13:11

No I know I put in her postcode and just clicked

but local dealers will collect cars for you

Our latest one we bought in WINCHESTER and it was delivered on a car carrier from yorkshire so it doen't really matter where they are atm

just go into the dealers and they get it for you and don't charge for it either cos they just swap cars around all the time

We have never got cars from our local area they are more expensive in london

JanH · 02/02/2006 13:17

Congrats on house-sale, GDG

Here is auto trader's search based on 100 miles from our post code, so some of them should be down your way (your gold one from Winsford is the first up in fact!)
