GDG · 02/02/2006 12:20

GDG, please answer my house thread. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE [wheedling voice emoticon]

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:21

here is a piccy

Auntymandy · 02/02/2006 12:24

I had the Zafira and loved it, but it just wasnt big enough. Now I have a Galaxy, had it for a week!! Love it!!
The back seats are fantastic as they are proper baby seats!! didnt even know that till we got it home!!
As for boot space, loads compared to Zafira but still not a real boot,I have hanger things on the back of the seats where I hang shopping bags etc

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:24

DH and I are looking at an XC90, GDG, but having seen them in the flesh I have to say that the interiors are really horrible. Very plasticky, same goes for the interior of every single Volvo I have ever seen.

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:25

XC90 PICCYS

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:26

Ours is leather

GDG are you wanting new or used????????

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:27

I mean all the dash and the switchgear, not the seats themselves.

yoyo · 02/02/2006 12:30

XC90 - Swoon!!

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:31

I am getting a Fiat Multipla

ok they look ugly (the new ones don't - different boring design)

but they have three good separate seats in the back that each fit a car seat no probs, and an extra seat in the front between driver and passenger

and they get fabby reviews everywhere - IF you can get over the weird look of them

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:32

dh agreed about the placcy interior of the XC90

also they dont fit three carseats across the back (nor does the X5 btw)

yoyo · 02/02/2006 12:32

We've got a Peugeot 307 SW which has two extra seats and loads of different seat arrangements.

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:33

I think Chyrysler voyager best for a 7 seater

the black ones with tinted windows RULE

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:33

The X5 is tiny inside.

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:33

oke doke

ours is walnut and aluminium with leather wheel etc.

but yes have to agree our old ones were plastic

the basic models are cheaper finish

we go for higher mileage but with higher spec and special edition and newer

rather than low mileage and lower spec.

cos we don't do high mileage we have a better car in the end to sell on iyswim

cos the mileage ends up being average rather than kept high we never do the 12,000 before next service time always comes quicker

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:33

SO, does that booster seat in teh middle come in the V70, XC70 as standard? I think I prefer the look of those to the XC90 actually!

Hmm, the only thing with that booster seat is there is no head protection bit as you have on the high backed boosters that you add in. Do the two side seats have boosters as well?

Or should I not be worried since anything colliding with a volvo will simply bounce off?

yoyo · 02/02/2006 12:34

Hate the tinted windows in the Chrysler!!

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:34

yes I know - no bigger than the estate! bMW are bringing out a seven seater version though, my friend has her name down for one

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:35

sorry that was to Ndp

GDG · 02/02/2006 12:35

Oh God everyone - now I'm confused!!!

Have put me off XC90 now with the interior, can't fit 3 car seats across teh back (this is essential) and price!!

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 12:36

We found it on a par to the 3 series estate, nowhere near as big as the 5 series estate. Just a poser-mobile really

Enid · 02/02/2006 12:36

they go wrong a lot too if my friends is anything to go by

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2006 12:37

when DS was in it we got a cover that had side padding and head padding and foot protection

it is really deffo brill

then wehn you are taking adults they just turn back into adult seats

and for friends no need to transfer seatrs

and cos they are part of car they are ver very very safe
