I just couldn't think what to get dh this year (every year! ) but had an off-the-wall brainstorm this morning and bought him a bristle shaving brush and a dish of old-fashioned shaving soap. God knows what he'll think of it! He's a Gillette man. I'm also on the hunt for a DVD of the Ashes highlights, and have a CD that he bought for himself and asked me to wrap up!

beejay · 16/12/2005 14:34

LIZS · 16/12/2005 15:12

couple of books, shirt, trousers, top, Star Wars dvd ... not very inspired really.

thecattleareALOHing · 16/12/2005 15:12

Sweater, funny book of pisstakes of modern literature, history book, bottle of apparently excellent whisky (bleuch).
I think ds will give him some chocolate coins 'to share'.

smw9927 · 16/12/2005 16:33

My dh is really hard to buy for because he tends to go out and get something when he wants/needs it rather than wait until Christmas. But then I had an idea...I bought him a voucher for a skid pan course.

He gets to have fun skidding a car but also learning how to handle a skidding car too (the course is based on the one they teach to the police). £99 for 2 hours might seem a bit steep but they only book three on it at a time and he'll spend approc 1.5 hours in the car. I'd like to go too!

As a bonus the bloke I called told me that there's a flight simulator run by a charity on tey same site and you can usually go and have a go if you make a donation, so we'll make a family day of it.

lunavix · 16/12/2005 16:35

new sony 20gb mp3 player apparently its tons better than an ipod which he wanted last year but didnt get.
scrubs dvd box set
franz, babyshambles and darkness cds
a jumper and scarf from h&m
lots of chocolate

LIZS · 16/12/2005 16:36

The only thing he said he wanted was a new formal winter coat - but prefer to wait for the sales or at least have him there to try it on, rather than make an expensive mistake and find it marked down afterwards. I also know he wanted a particular golf club but he hasn't been specific enough for me to get the right one.

merrycompo · 16/12/2005 16:37

Dressing gown, transformer, My Dad mug and book from ds, Star Wars Visial Ditionary for the latest film and a dinosaur making kit to do with ds (although he is a bit young)

merrycompo · 16/12/2005 16:37

ds is a bit young, not dh!!

littlechristmaself · 16/12/2005 16:39

dh is getting half season football ticket of me

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 16/12/2005 16:40

Have bought him a subscription for a Snowboarding magazine. It was great though as I got a t.shirt, book and a pass for Xscape with it.

Also got him some sweets.

gggimmesnowsnow · 16/12/2005 17:35
