My calendar has been crap this year. Need recommendations for a good one for next year.

What exactly did you find so unsatisfactory about your calender?

Horrid pictures?
Space not big enough to write in?
Lack of decent appointments to put on it?

I think you need to me more specific Coddy if we are to help you in your quest for the perfect calender

Yeah but you wouldn't be able to just flick it over in front of your friends when arranging who has who's child over for tea! Not without raising some eyebrows.

No funny gal(!) It s too small and the paper is allergic to all sorts of pen ink and not big enough. OBV its JAM packed with exciting appts.

Thats a crap idea. I was thinking NICE thoughts about you SM as the only one who helped me out ont he hobbies hread. I wouldnt mind a ring bindy one with a week to a view..Maybe a retail poss for MN??

coddy, we have been getting the Boots family calendar for years - spiral bound, week to view and 5 columns so you can fit lots of different peoples' activities in one day - dead useful. (I always save the end column for reminders of birthdays, bills to pay, gasman calling and stuff.)

Also it has sweet pictures of animals. (A clincher I think! Lots of doodling/scribbling scope while on phone.)

Oh dear - it doesn't have

"A weekly record of accomplishments toward personal goals"

so no good after all...

(also it is a calendar not a book, hangs on wall.)

codswallop, I second janh's suggestion of a Boots one (I too, have bought one for years)..a space for every member of the family every day and a spare end column (unless you have three children needing a column each - in which case sell one of your children and get the calendar, only £5, so much cheaper).

Mine this year was Humphrey the Elephant - natty little watercolour pictures and lovely textured paper, will be sad when it's new year.

Beware the ones with two weeks to a page! Hold out for the week to a page ones!

mine was from smiths, but no pictures just week to view with 5 spaces.
was going to get the sam eone, but might look for boots one now cos that sounds far nicer

Gah! You people still use PAPER calendars?!! I use a Yahoo internet calendar, its great. Sends reminders about appointments, can look at in from anywhere (with a computer). I haven't cracked the portable diary thing yet as my Palm Pilot crashed but that's the obvious complementary device to the Yahoo calendar and you can synch from one to the other.
