I think it looks quite cool but I haven't seen it in the flesh... it is by \link{http://www.mamasandpapasonline.com/viewitem.php?code=3181522&defc=3181522&page=1&subcat=11414612&showtype=I/mamas and papas}

anyone seen it in the shops? and is babyboom a good online retailer?

Can't you get a 2nd hand one out of the local paper or something?

Like the white one better.

doormat · 10/10/2005 11:46

pph I like them all

CountessDracula · 10/10/2005 11:52

302 of them on ebay!

auntymandy · 10/10/2005 11:53

Cool!

Lucycat · 10/10/2005 11:55

How about a cot bed? I'm keeping dd2 in hers until she's about 7 - may even take the bars off for her then! ......or maybe not!

princesspeahead · 10/10/2005 12:11

could get a 2nd hand one but since it is about the only new thing the baby is going to get, I don't mind getting a new one. and I don't want to buy one off ebay and then find it is all rickety or damaged or something.

don't need a cot bed - the room already has a bed in it as well (for me to sleep on during VERY unsettled nights!)

orangina · 10/10/2005 13:19

haha pph.... thought this might be your thread! Go on, get it.... definitely groovy....

I have the lindam one (won't try the link), you've seen it. It's mdf I think, but passes all the regs....

Enid · 10/10/2005 13:23

yes, nice

princesspeahead · 10/10/2005 13:26

spotted by my sis! I like the lindam one but it is out of stock everywhere and anyway I can't get the same as you, that would be TOOOOOO boring...

going to have an ikea/mamas and papas/johnlewis day in Bristol next week I think

Hmmmm, it's ok.

don't dislike it, but not that keen either.
so not alot of help really

moondog · 10/10/2005 14:02

GoN-you've put my hankering for the Stokke to rest! Cheers.
I have the Tripp Trapp, which is ace- although currently in situ in bathroom to allow me to sip wine and read the Daily Telegraph while the children have a bath.

Big hand however must also go to £20 Antelop highchair from IKEA which is great-sturdy,looks good and very easy to clean.

Aaaaaghh! You've thrown me completely now meggy!

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2005 14:28

I'm indifferent. Although I don't think I'd choose it myself, there's not much to dislike. PRefer the slatted one to the one with circles.

Go to Mothercare and see if they do the spares to fix your current cot. Recently got new drop catches for my 6.5 yo one to accomodate my nephew. Didn't think the addition of Duck Tape to hold it together was an attractive addition!

moondog · 10/10/2005 14:38

Meggy....

Tripp Trapp is good....very good!

princesspeahead · 10/10/2005 15:43

the whole sliding mechanism is buggered soupy, I don't think it is fixable...
didn't have any duct tape, hence the knotted white (slightly grubby now) surgical bandage - lovely!

SoupDragon · 10/10/2005 17:11

Clear duck tape is the way to go - virtually unnoticable unless you are an easily horrified first time mum. Which is why I had to fix the cot

moondog · 10/10/2005 17:20

I love the duck/duct tape thing here...
(although only got to grips with it myself at the age of about 34 much to dh's disbelief)

GhostofNatt · 10/10/2005 17:49

But meggy, they are oval, how can other cot mattresses fit? Are we talking about same thing???
