My son is 3 and the traditional mega bloks are not really exciting enough for him anymore and they come apart too easily. What is better the Megabloks mini or micro blocks or lego? We won't be doing any exotic kits at the moment. Are the mini ones the one that compare with lego? I know that the mini and micro ones are currently on offer in certain places but I am happy to buy lego if it is superior. Many thanks

Well, I was so pro Lego and undoubtedly it's quality and longevity speaks for it self which can't be taken away from Lego. However, I only just last week bought my just 5 yr old son Mega Micro Bloks, the 400 pcs for £10 in Boots January 2011 Sale (usually £20). Well I've just checked it for its sturdyness, robustness, clickability and ability to stay clicked in when pulling it at. It passed 100% on all and am very happy with it and will update to the special offers for the 1000 pcs going over the net. I'm usually susceptible to the best only and so won't buy 2nd best but this time I am happy to forgo Lego for Mega Micro Bloks and if anybody else does I can guarantee it won't disappoint honest. It appears the quality has definetely got better and comparable to Lego for all the features that makes Lego great - it's brill Smile.

At 3 I would bypass duplo and go straight to Lego ..... The best buy in the world as kids play with it all the time.

Lego lasts forever - I still have the lego I played with as a child, and when my little girl is older, I will give it to her.

If you are careful with it and keep it in the box, with instructions, who knows, it might be worth something in many years to come lol!

If you are worried about the price, I've noticed that you often pick Lego up at car boot sales for fairly cheap.
