Those extractor/hood things. Do they need to be connected to the mains (ie need an electrician to fit them)? Or, do they come with a plug?

Just realised we might not be talking about the same thing. Don't need it ducted to outside wall so no hole needed. But they still don't come with a plug?

there are new rules about electrics so might be worth checking if you need qualified person to fit.

This happened locally. I'm not one for scare stories but honestly, anything electrical, I'd get a spark in straight away. I don't think extractor fans come with plugs.
