I have a brand new one not even taken out of the box because I am too scared to use it with my children decided it would be far too difficult at present and must wait til they are older, maybe next year I will venture to get it out of the box! If you were nearby you could buy it of me!! Sorry I have failed otherwise... are you a thunderbirds family? Or could it be action man?!

If you can't find an inflatable one, our toys r us had lots of sand pits with lids which were labelled up sandpit/paddling pool, they were £16.99. Might be an idea to get one of these, you might be able to get some use out of it cause you know the minute you get one, the weather is bound to break!!!!!

metired · 11/08/2003 16:44

I tried all last week for paddling pool for 2 youngest dd's, age 6 and 4 - no luck - so I just let them loose with the hose pipe, saved me watering the garden

whymummy · 11/08/2003 16:48

leander · 11/08/2003 21:25

Tesco have definately got some

SueW · 11/08/2003 22:19

There were some on ebay last time I looked.

My almost 7yo and her friends are quite happy in the TP boat-shaped pool/sandpit that we've had for years (although not had sand in for ages).

Alternatively if you have a garden that's a decent size, how about an aquaslide and a hosepipe? You don't need a slide to go with the aquaslide, you can lay it flat on the lawn. As long as it's wet, it's great fun.

lisalisa, what about that birthwithsol one? I know it has to come from the states, but still. Site is here It works out at £34 inc shipping. You could try getting a delivery date out of them?

WideWebWitch · 12/08/2003 14:33

And they say you can use it as a paddling pool, it's not just designed as a birthing pool.
