What outfit do men find most attractive on a date?

What is your ultimate turn-on outfit for a woman to wear on a date?

Is it a casual outfit? Dress? A hint of lingerie on show?

I need to decide on an outfit for next weekend!

A nice smile. The rest might depend on where we're going!

We're going out for a meal. Nice restaurant. Not pretentious.

For me it is exactly what you wrote. A nice dress with a subtle glimpse of something special beneath.
Waiting sharpens the appetite with the tease and thrill of the slow reveal.

everywhichway · 18/05/2026 06:43

It'll be sunny and warm at the weekend. A simple floaty dress and not too much make up would do it for me!

Anthonnysimagination · 18/05/2026 10:07

This time of year, if the weather is nice, I can't beat a floaty summer dress. Currently loving Yes Paris. If you tuned up in anything they make, I'd be very impressed!

Seeing as though you have posted on here and not style and beauty personally, I'd be into a glimmer of Lingerie on the second or third date. As a gentleman, I would not necessarily be looking to unravel you on the first date. ( I like to play hard to get.)

Also, if you smell good, the right perfume really does make a difference.

Good luck, hope it goes well x

Well, you said "ultimate turn-on outfit for a woman to wear on a date", so I guess I can be a specific as I want...

Lunch:

Pale blue painted-on jeans with a white, fluffy sparkly top that falls off one shoulder to reveal a bra strap. NB. Don't wear a strapless bra - the whole point is that you're flashing your underwear a little. Make sure it's a beautiful bra, even if only the strap is visible. Enough make-up to show some effort and creativity without plastering it on. Bubblegum pink lips and nails and matching stiletto pumps. Keep jewellery to a minimum but make sure what is there is stunning.

Dinner and/or evening drinks:

Swap the jeans and top for a short, soft, stretchy, sparkly bodycon dress - something that shows off your figure but won't be uncomfortable after a meal.

Doing stuff:

If it's warm and we're doing stuff as opposed to sitting in a restaurant or a bar then a cheeky looking sundress, fitted around the waist with a playful, short A-line bottom half... or maybe a short, pale blue denim skirt with a hot pink strappy vest. I love legs, arms and shoulders so it's more about how much of you I can see than the actual clothes.

If you're going to be on your feet a fair bit then swap the pumps for trainers but, crucially, trainers which coordinate with your outfit/make-up and are of a light, feminine looking design, not those gormless, plain white, hoofy looking things that seem to be the default setting for most women these days.

Whatever the time of day:

"Pleasures" by Estée Lauder. Seriously - I'd hit on a wheelie bin of it were wearing that stuff! Keep a small bottle in your bag and apply liberally mid-date if you like me and want to make sure I'm hooked!

One other thing:

For me it's all about the details. Creative and interesting (but not excessive) use of make-up, beautiful nails, fabulous shoes, minimal (while exquisite) jewellery & accessories and gorgeous fragrance. Get those right and you could wear a bin bag and I'd still find you irresistible!

One she feels comfortable wearing, so she is confident and concentrates on the date instead of worrying about trying to look perfect.

This.

You dress for you - what makes you feel comfortable and confident. It's fine to make an effort but it must be for you.

onetrickponee · 18/05/2026 17:56

I quite like a dress this time of year.
Something you feel good in that shows off your figure

Decision made.

Long dress that buttons all the length down the front, small cap sleeves and it'll sit slightly off shoulder, pink kitten heels, small bag and a silver bracelet. Looks good.

Not sure if I'll wear my hair up or just have it tied back. Depends on if the weather forecast is correct!

The button through dress suggestion is good.
No one has mentioned stockings yet. Not for a first date?

It will be bare legs for this weekend due to the weather forecast being hot weather. Let's hope my date is hot too!

Definitely stockings or hold-ups and high heels will make an appearance for a future date.

Lucky guy! 😊

Let's hope that's replicated for me!

I will have to think about the stockings/heels after date 1. I know that they are very love/hate for some people and I'm not sure if he would go for them even though I get a turn on from wearing them.

@SaraOnSaturday It's fun to develop the accidental brief flask of stocking top when getting up from a chair isn't it?

Winterbolt · Yesterday 14:30

What ever she fancies

No. bra
No. panties

that’s the rule

Chocolatemasculinity · Yesterday 15:51

Wow - that’s a question to get the mind working.

MyFellowScroller · Yesterday 18:24

It will be interesting to see how @SaraOnSaturday reacts to the suggestion from @Winterbolt . IMHO we are dressing for a date, to go out somewhere in public. Braless is difficult for most fully adult women without looking a bit droopy or being obvious. 'Obvious' with someone new is not a good feeling at all.
A lack of underwear is best kept indoors and as a treat to signify achieving another level.

I'm sure Sara is a bit more classy than that!
