Do ankle bracelets still have sexual connotations for younger people today?

Back in the 80s wearing an ankle bracelet showed you were up for sex or open for men to approach you, is it still a thing now with the younger generation?

Not heard that one before. They were only ever jewellery to me, (though my mum associated them with prostitution.)

Left ankle: the wearer is married or in a committed relationship. Right ankle: available or open to new experiences (to put it delicately). Or, all of that is a load of bollocks and you can wear what you like.

Are you asking because you want to signal your availability or gauge someone else's?

I'm so flipping innocent to these things - I just thought they were ankle bracelets some liked to wear...

No, she believed it. She’s a bit dim though , she also helpfully pointed out a woman on the bus who apparently used to be a prostitute. I can’t remember if said woman had an ankle bracelet on though!
