The best s*x I ever had

Neetee · 19/12/2025 08:46

I have only ever been with DH so nothing to compare to.

Recently I was speaking to a work colleague who was telling me about an ex gf and said it was the best s*x he ever had. I also heard other people mention something similar.

What does this actually mean? How can one be better than another? More positions? More energy?

I mean if you love someone, surely that’s the best s*x?

OP posts:
OriginalSkang · 19/12/2025 09:37

I think its much more about chemistry than anything else. Its certainly nothing to do with positions etc

Badslipperluck · 19/12/2025 09:42

Passion, chemistry, orgasms, physical compatibility in body and tempo, just clicking without mental effort and just 'knowing' what the other likes, fun, excitement!
But then there's also the other type where you really know and love someone and what they like so your giving and receiving takes this into account, even if there's one of the above things that is slightly off (because no one's perfect). And when you're mid cycle and crazy in love with them... Bingo.

Absolutely. The OP can start us off with her favourite positions and which item of synthetic crotchless Whatsit from Ann Summers gets her going.

3luckystars · 19/12/2025 09:50

Even if you have only had it with one person, surely there have been times it has been better than other times?? It is different every time?

Then multiply that by 10, in both directions (better and worse) with someone you don’t know.

Do you own a toilet brush?

Is that you,Smithy?

Don't you find this quite sad?

It's like reducing yourself to the status of a soap powder or something you buy in a supermarket. You are the best sex product.

I'm not reducing myself to anything. You are.
I'm a whole person with a career, hobbies, family, travel plans, plants, dogs, a vinyl collection and 3 bicycles.
I also have sex and have been told I'm a very good lover, for reasons set out.

Hi @Neetee we have moved your thread for you.

HatAndScarf33 · 19/12/2025 09:59

Well, you must know some people are ‘bad’ in bed? Usually for women that means the guy is selfish in bed or no clue how to get them to orgasm.

Good or ‘the best’ sex is just someone who knows how to turn you on and feel sexy, wanted and open to new things (if that's what you want).

FWIW, I've found the best sex to be with the partners I've had long-term term relationships with. I think for me, it's the knowing each other and being in tune with what each other likes that makes it the best.

bostonchamps · 19/12/2025 10:00

If you can’t even type sex without using an asterisk to try and do some weird covering up about the fact you’re saying sex, you’ll never be able to have good sex.

Well you have now presented yourself as a person rather than merely a sex object so that changes things .

Tbh your first post presented you as though your be all and end all and main achievement in life was to wear the "provider of best sex" badge.

Not really. The post was asking about the best sex. I gave my opinion based on my experiences.
It wasn't asking if I lived a wholesome happy life.

Well i'm sorry but it very much came over as being told you were the provider of the " best sex ever" was what you are renowned for and is what you regard as your main achievement.

I get that. I am an imperfect human.

DH has not said anything about being dissatisfied.

The conversation I had with my colleague just got me thinking that’s all. He talked fondly of an old gf, told me how great she was, the best sex he ever had etc and yet never considered marrying her. That’s all.

For me, sex, love and marriage have been one. I could not consider having sex with someone I do not love but I want to understand other people’s perspectives.

Without a doubt with my OH. And yes because I love him I agree OP. But also we are a fantastic fit sexually, like the same things, enjoy each others pleasure as much as our own. Plus we find each other attractive, have great chemistry and can laugh at ourselves. He has definitely given me the best orgasms of my life.

noego · 19/12/2025 12:22

In a word "enthusiasm"

No, that was your interpretation.
Seeing as you haven't added anything useful to the conversation perhaps you best pop off and let those who enjoy sex impart some knowledge for OP as she requested.

Sex and making love are very different.
Some of the most passionate sex can be with people who you would never want a relationship with.
I do think men are sometimes intimidated by a woman with experience as they wonder where she got that experience and if they can ever match up to that. Makes no sense to me but that's men for you.
For me, there most important thing is communication. If there's something you want, like or don't want, you have to be able to say that and not be judged or made to feel like a weirdo. That requires trust and intimacy which you won't necessarily find outside a loving relationship.
Ask your DP if there is anything they paticularly enjoy, and go from there.

I often get told that I'm the best they've ever had.

I've found its usually because all of the below:
Chemistry
Passion
Physical fit
Ability to orgasm
Willingness to give and receive
Understanding your partner mentally, their kinks and making them yours.

I actually think this is a really good list of what makes good sex. I’d add being uninhibited.

The worst sex I’ve had was with someone with huge amounts of energy who tried pretty much every position.

The best I’ve had was good mostly because of chemistry. He was technically skilled and giving etc but there was something about him that just made me completely lose myself in the moment in a way I haven’t quite with anyone else.

French ex girlfriend bought me a keyring with Sex God on it. Made me feel smug over all the French men.

I have been told “ You are the best Fucker I have ever had” by a few women. I have known through my working life.

Are you sure they didn’t say ‘you are
the biggest fucker I ever met’ that would make more sense in a work environment. 😁

Agreed. I think @Kittylicker is hard of hearing.

What kind of a question is it? Assuming it's a genuine question, the answer is: not necessarily

You can love someone to bits and feel a great emotional connection, but this someone might still not be into the things you are into.

You can have OK, basic, vanilla sex with someone you love to bits, and have amazing, mind-shattering orgasms with a person you don't love.
