Grower not a shower

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice, you will see many threads on here talking about penis size, and if it’s too small it could be a deal breaker. Well hoping to get on the dating bandwagon again and for some reason being a bit self conscious, I would say erect I’m 6” which isn’t massive but I think I do okay with it, but soft it goes very small like 1” if that. Should I be a little conscious that females may think it too small? Or do you ladies really (talking about dtd wise) only care what it’s like erect and more importantly how it’s used and mutual pleasure vs the soft size?

I only really care about the size of it hard for what it can do to me. Having said that I don't think I've ever seen a 1 inch penis and can't visualise it. So I don't know.

You can do very little with a soft penis, it’s the erect size that counts. Most men are growers anyway, and generally speaking, with a new partner, by the time you actually get to the point of her seeing your penis it would have grown anyway through the ‘excitement’.

the general rule of thumb is the average penis doubles in size from flacid to erect. A grower may be 2.5 x and a shower 1.5 x - the smaller a flacid penis, the greater percentage it will grow when erect.

i was a grower, and like you was sometimes self conscious about my flacid size, but the reality was only long term partners really saw it flaccid.

since my implant I’m most definitely a shower, with my erect size being only marginally bigger than my flacid size. It’s gives me more confidence in some respects if I’m walking around naked etc but really it still does the same job.

I wouldn't care what a flacid penis looks like as that's not what's important. My husband is a grower also and I don't ever remember it crossing my mind as an issue. I may be wrong here but I imagine if you're dating someone new and all the excitement/anticipation that entails, then you might even be erect before your date even sees it? That way she won't even see it flacid at first so wouldn't doubt your size. I could be wrong but just my take. Don't over think it, go out there and enjoy dating!

Thanks for your advice, was the implant for cosmetic reasons or medical? I’d never even heard of that tbh. Like you say it’s the hard size that matters, but when it’s really cold you don’t want a new partner to think you’ve a micro penis.

Thank you, I think you’re spot on it will likely be hard or close too it in first encounters, I was curious if when the dust settles does it become an ‘issue’ but looks like im over thinking and women aren’t really bothered about the soft side. Thank you for commenting 👍🏼

with all due respect, if you really are only 1’ when soft then you do have a micropenis and being cold ( not sure when she’d ever see it when your cold though?) won’t make any difference.

Don’t worry about it, I can’t think of anyone seeing my penis when soft during the first month or two of dating.

Not really sure how without pictures you’ll just have to take my word that no arrousal it really isn’t much bigger than 1” especially if really cold, but it does grow a fair bit to around 6” maybe just over 5” if being less optimistic 😅. By the sounds of it, I needent worry and a small chap when soft shouldn’t be a deal breaker, and if it is, clearly never going to be a successful long term relationship.

Given that I am a "portly" gentleman I have plenty of fat to place on my body. Mother nature has chosen the area around my old chap to place some which means that when - for example - i am sitting down the fat tends to pretty much hide my unerect self. If I compress the fat im probably a couple of inches flacid. I've thought about seeing if I can have the fat removed but given my love life lately its a waste of money.

You are above the average erect size in the UK.

You have nothing to worry about.

Nobody gives a damn about flaccid size and you do not have a micropenis etc.

Some men out there have less than half your size to work with, so really this comes across as a humblebrag.

1 inch is medically classed as a micropenis. 6 inch hard is around average. I'm not saying OP is lying, but I'm saying it's unusual and I don't think it's anything to brag about.

Not that I've pondered it much but wouldn't a micro penis be defined by size when erect rather than flaccid? Temperature and sport seem to definitely affect the outcome 😬

Certainly isn’t my intention on this post to brag, I don’t think I have much to brag about but that is not what I was seeking just advice from a female perspective.
