Men- how often do you wank?

My Husband had a vasectomy recently and has to do 35 within 4 months. He feels that is a lot and unless we are doing things together, he finds wanking a chore. Is this normal? Before him, I always thought men did it daily 🙈

I want to be facetious and say something like, "I'll have it done by Thursday," but I'd say 35 times is quite feasible in two months. Under normal circumstances, I probably masturbate three or four times a week. But if someone gave me a target, I think you'd find I'd be really quite focussed....

Couple of times a day. Never 0. (Never thought about it before, what a waste of time. 😭)

I’m not “suggesting”! he has been told he has to ejaculate that many times before he goes back to give a semen sample, it’s to ensure that all of the old sperm has definitely been cleared out to determine whether the vasectomy has been effective.

I seem to remember it was continue with usual BC for 6 weeks then submit a sample. Then another sample one or two weeks later. If both clear then BC can be abandoned.

FWIW I'm 62 and can have a wank everyday🥵 as long as I am exercising. My OH has been ill so we have not been intimate for a while. Things seem to be improving tho. 😃

That’s a how long is a piece of string question, in a relationship with daily sex then hardly ever, when single maybe once every couple of days- when I was made redundant- not for months

I don't remember being told anything like this when I had mine 30 years ago. Just to keep on using some sort of contraception until I had been tested and was officially firing blanks.

My husband said he did it daily when he was younger and more recently 3 times a week on average. Last year he started on some medication that reduced his libido and he says he really hasn't needed to wank since then.

I ask him every now and again but we have been together since we were younger so I know he wanks regularly and most of the time he says it is daily. He has a high sex drive and feels he needs to do it. I'm not sure what this medication is and I don't want to make light of it but it sounds like something that would be useful for my husband 😂

I suppose it depends on how often you and your wife are managing it, if you have a low sex drive then you’ll be happy with once a month with the wife 😀

I don't recall the advice being that many times when I had the op, that's a serious clear out there

Sex would count towards the 35, wouldn't it? (With a condom obviously to be on the safe side...)
