Pubes on men? Yay or nay

My husband has always kept his pubic area trim and tidy and has recently said he would like to start shaving it all off. I'm guessing plenty of men do this now but just wondering what female partners think and if it looks good like this?

OP posts:

Definite preference for hairy men here and would find shaved pubes odd!

MrsBrollie · 13/08/2024 14:02

My husband has trimmed them in the past, but is all natural now, I don’t really mind either way. If asked him to shave them off he would.

ProseccoOnTap · 13/08/2024 16:35

Their body, their choice.

I'm in my 50's & have never had a partner who was hairless.

I don't care either way.

girlfromyorkshire · 13/08/2024 16:50

I prefer it all shaved off on my husband, I just think it looks nicer and and feels better for me. He was already shaving some off when we got together and started to do it all some years ago which he says he prefers himself and finds most comfortable.

B1rd · 13/08/2024 18:21

I dislike fully shaved and natural. I prefer trimmed.

GigiAnnna · 13/08/2024 19:44

I dislike no body hair on a man.

EnergeticTigerDad · 13/08/2024 20:19

My wife tells me she prefers natural although I will trim a little occasionally. Interestingly she's always bare herself.

Fiery30 · 13/08/2024 21:15

I like totally shaved or else trimmed.

Beth216 · 13/08/2024 21:17

I remember when my OH totally shaved one day, looked like a plucked turkey was absolutely gross. Just a little trim is my preference, don't like pornified men.

I run a laser hair removal salon and we have seen a large increase in men coming in for this service in the last few years or so. Often men are coming in with their wives and girlfriends at the same time who seem very happy their men are coming in for treatment. Removing all the hair is most popular although some choose to leave a small patch on top.

sounds like a male version of a landing strip, more of a parking space!

l’ve shaved a few in my time. And trimmed some others!

l’ve recently seen a razor advertising poster which targets men proclaiming “for up here and down there”.

l like things neat and tidy and happy to see trimmed or all off. I’m not keen on an unruly mangle of hair for both appearance and practical reasons. For those with longer hair, it’s no big deal for me though, but l would suggest shampoo, conditioner and a small comb.

l prefer men without underarm hair too, but l’m probably talking about a rare breed.

Kerkyra2024 · 14/08/2024 10:26

I don't generally have a preference as I see it as it's down to the person themselves whether to trim, shave or be natural my DP trims and occasionally shaved and I will admit it does make certain activities easier to avoid a pube floss 😂 he has the same attitude in regards to my body hair routine (I shave as it's more comfortable for me)

BeckysNanna · 14/08/2024 12:26

At the end of the day, it’s up to your husband if he wants to try shaving it all off, but I reckon you should have a say too. Personally, I’m not fussed either way, but if I had to choose, I’d go for neatly trimmed. It’s all about what works best for both of you, really!

Skytrain · 14/08/2024 15:54

I'm wondering why he has decided to go bald now, men are pretty stuck in their ways in general, and you haven't mentioned to him, I can understand a bit of trimming because as you get older your public bits can get a bit like the hanging garden of babylon but to decide to get it all off later in life is a little odd.

I don't think it's suspicious. Sometimes when you get older, you let go of older hang-ups, are able to be more true to yourself, experiment more and care less what others think. Although a lot of people do get stuck in their ways it doesn't have to be the case with everything, and sex imo, is one area, where people sometimes find they are more willing to experiment later in life.

I think men are getting more "aware" but also driven by the gym culture. Basically getting changed after working out, they see that a lot more of them are well trimmed or smooth and I suppose is more follow the crowd. Apparently same with circumcision becoming more popular as a choice rather than just a medical intervention.

VoodooQualities · 15/08/2024 16:25

Circumcision? Is that a thing men choose to do now for aesthetics?

As someone who doesn't own a penis, what little I do know about foreskins is that they're sensitive and feel nice, I can't imagine a grown man removing his voluntarily any more than I can imagine myself volunteering to have my clit removed.

VoodooQualities · 15/08/2024 16:25

Or my clitoral hood maybe, that's probably a more suitable comparison.

No the posts about pubic hair 🙂 as for circumcision I think it's pretty common in the USA outside of Judaism. I've only ever been with uncircumcised and I like the feel of the foreskin personally

VoodooQualities · 15/08/2024 16:37

I've been with both and my experience is that circumcised men can last longer, but I put that down to them being less sensitive down there. I'd never choose that! I'd MUCH prefer my man was getting a full range of sensations.

Anyway @namechanged1010 can you confirm? Have you heard that men are choosing circumcision for aesthetic reasons?

DixonD · 15/08/2024 19:04

I prefer hair over completely hairless.

Nothing wrong with a bit of maintenance though.

JL690 · 16/08/2024 08:44

I love it when men are hairless though it is up to the man what he does with his body hair.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 16/08/2024 21:36

Nope don't like hairless men one bit, I like a beard, hairy forearms, hairy chest, hairy undercarriage, love burying my nose in a hairy pit. Don't mind a bit of manscaping around the base/bollock area but definitely not hairless. Nooooooo

lauraUK1000 · 18/08/2024 00:58

Love it hairless and smooth on my husband and he's been this way for years. He says it is much more comfortable and feels great like this.
