Well after it being suggested here Reddit is an eye-opener.

I like the mumsnet trolls sub, that’s a definite eye opener. 👀

EverybodySayBigStretch · 01/12/2023 23:54

It’s a big place with lots of subs.

The sex chat follow on? After reading on another thread that one of the men who is part of that group is trying to engage 16 year old girls in conversation (and seeing proof), I suppose eye opening could be used to describe it. Other words would be more apt. It’s also mainly men last I heard, no surprises.

General reddit? The saddos and their SPH fetish is hilarious at times. I think some people here would be more suited to reddit so hopefully they go.

stereoboomer · 01/12/2023 23:56

What??? And you have seen proof?? How can someone engage 16yo girls when it's voluntary to join?

A 16 year old girl asking for advice on a relationship issue and a MUCH older man replies. Why? Why would a man do that? Would you? She’s a child.

EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:04

And also replied to a 17 year old girl apparently as well now. It’s concerning I think.

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:05

Not sure I understand

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:06

Which bit?

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:06

Are we talking about the same thing?? I've been on there a bit and I don't see any girls asking for advice

OP posts:
stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:09

I just joined as some I chat too a lot (woman) recommended it. If there's anything untoward happening I'm outta there. BUT I haven't seen anything that you allude to

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:13

One of the men who uses this board and joined the reddit ‘spin-off’, is using other subs to try to start conversations with 16/17 year old girls.

EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:14

I suppose it depends if you’re happy being in a group with someone that does that?

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:14

Certainly not!

OP posts:
stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:16

Was hoping it was just a spin off from the thread here. It's never got going really so I Will leave. Mind you how do you know what you're alluding to?

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:16

That’s good to hear.

It’s a shame because I think reddit is a better home for all those who want the sex chat type thread.

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:18

Well.it was good fun until the funsponges ruined it. Met some lovely people

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:20

Someone posted a link to the MNrebels sub on here. It was public. You could see who joined and you can see what other subs they post on and what they post.

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:21

Well you're far more MN/TECH savvy that me. I've no idea how you do that

OP posts:

The sex chat thread on mumsnet? I don’t think it’s good fun to have married men advertising for sex chat because they’re ‘not getting any at home’. Come on, seriously? ‘Making parents lives easier’, the mumsnet branding, by enabling your husband to have sex chat with other women whilst providing a place for women to talk about relationship issues. 🤣

EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:25

Wasn’t me, it was another poster. But I’ve now seen for myself. Click on usernames on reddit and you’ll see what they post on other subs if the subs are public.

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:27

Hold on. A lot of the people - at least the ones I met - were married women pissed off at home WANTING to chat. Don't blame the fellas just coz they were fellas

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:30

Most of the people that posted were men. A few of the regular posters said they had been contacted by men pretending to be women. But yes, mumsnet shouldn’t be enabling any of it no matter the sex of the person.

Reddit is a better place for it and I’m sure there are other places too.

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:31

Agreed

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:33

There’s been 3 threads here in only a few months that were posters who miraculously changed sex between posts. They obviously didn’t bet on posters using the AS function when their posts sounded weird. Now deleted. Don’t believe everything you read, not everyone is who they say they are. E safety and all of that!

stereoboomer · 02/12/2023 00:34

Yes youre right. I can only go with my own experience which was nothing but positive though.

OP posts:
EverybodySayBigStretch · 02/12/2023 00:40

That’s fair enough. I’m all for fun but genuinely agreed with posters that mumsnet wasn’t the place for it. If it makes a lot of women feel uncomfortable, which it did, I think the good eggs will take note of that.

Also, if someone isn’t happy in their relationship, just leave, and those that are single, expect better than sec chat with someone in a relationship with someone else.
