Clitoral sensitivity

It just feels numb down there now. Never used to be like this. Is it an age thing? Have I worn it out? 😳
I am 44 and no signs of peri menopause yet.
Any ideas how to restore the sensitivity?

If you've found this page in your search of a wand massager and wand vibator, you might find our guide to the best wand massagerss useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

Do you masturbate?
Or are you talking during sex with husband?
Can you cum without clitoral stimulation??

After kids my wife lost libido and said her clit lost some sensitivity too , we got a mains powered wand and she definitely got the feeling back in it lol, recommend

Yes I do with a vibrator. It takes a long time even with that.
My partner stimulates me with his hand and I feel like it’s getting there but I haven’t cum yet from it.
I used to be able to cum without clitoral stimulation but that was a long time ago before kids

Stop using the vibrator for at least a week, two if you can, and see if that works. Other than that, it could be that you need testosterone. Things like anti depressants can have serious negative side effects on sensation and libido too.

Also, to answer your question, yes you can wear it out, although you might get denials from defensive vibrator enthusiasts.

GigiAnnna · 07/09/2023 09:53

If I use the same vibrator repeatedly I find it hard to cum clitorally with just fingers or other vibrators because I get used to orgasming in a very specific way. I use a wand and I've started using it on a lower setting as I found that the higher setting was making me a bit numbed to other clit stimulation. Try lowering your vibrator setting or not using it for a few days. You could orgasm from your G spot instead if that's something you can do. Or alternatively, your vibrator may not be doing much for you anymore and you may actually need something a bit more powerful.

I’ve found as I’ve aged it’s not as easy to have an orgasm. I did go years without any sex (through choice) but when I was dating someone earlier this year I found I couldn’t orgasm through PIV, which I never did 100% but there were generally positions in which I’d always come, but ex didn’t like me on too much but new guy loved it and we had sex a lot but I never came through that. I got a new vibrator and have a wand (not main) and find I can come multiple times using that, it’s wonderful! But I do find I’m a bit more numb down there these days. I am 46 and do have some signs of peri.

It might be to do with your hormones and other conditions. My Gyne recommended something with hyloronic acid in for mine.

Blazingunicorns · 18/09/2023 08:15

@Mercier1 That's interesting. You apply it topically?

I'm a similar age, use a vibey almost daily, in addition have regular 1:1 sex and it has not impacted on my sensitivity. Everything is in good working order. OP, how are you with oral?

Blazingunicorns · 18/09/2023 17:31

@StarlightLady I don’t find a tongue is strong enough to reach orgasm anymore. It can get me close but not all the way. I have done so before though but not in recent years.

Yes it’s called Hyalofemme - got on Amazon but haven’t started yet. Might be worth. Shot?
