I've heard they are. Today.

They are, it’s on sale already.

JulieS1 · 02/02/2023 01:14

yes just seen they are advertising it

WombsofWimbledon · 02/02/2023 01:22

I like the idea of it being launched, maybe like a rocket. They should brand it with the Mumsnet logo but with the women holding dildos instead of bottles.

It does make me laugh that it’s for new mothers though. I think most of us were just hoping to not be fobbed off by doctors about incontinence, failing stitches and depression. A new vibrator for new mothers to rediscover their sexuality sounds like something a young male consulting company has come up with for a business idea. Maybe it was on The Apprentice as a business task for the 20 year old estate agents.

Oh I did not know this! Wow, seems very ... off the mark 🤨 Bit insulting actually, as a new mum this was the last thing on my mind. Theres probably a good reason there's a gap in the market here 😬
What next, glasses for the blind?

Exactly, I mean if it could make me a cup of tea then maybe I'd be interested. It's a bit 'if you're not interested in sex at this point shortly after you feel like you got bulldozed by a truck, then why not feel bad about it and spend some money at the same time.'

Jebus effing Christ, what the fuck did I just read?! 😮

There's not even any info about the actual product in it!! 🙄 just twee crap about mummies

@WombsofWimbledon I wish I could like or upvote your post because you put it perfectly. I'm 14 years away from my last birth but I can clearly remember not caring the slightest bit about sex. Pretty sure my husband was too busy trying to make things easier for me to have the time to care either. We both knew when it was right for us as a couple with a baby in our midst, and I can't see how a vibrator would contribute

MaryJean87 · 02/02/2023 12:55

It doesn't look powerful enough to me. It looks similar to a standard bullet you can get anywhere for cheaper. I'm not a new mum but when I was, I didn't feel a specific need for a " new mum" toy over my usual.

Gingerkittykat · 02/02/2023 13:03

Is this an early April Fools Day announcement?

I love how one of the sites has 3 reviews from verified buyers on the day of release!

Activelyannoyed · 02/02/2023 13:07

I can’t imagine anything that’s less sexy than a mumsnet branded vibrator.

hey babe, why don’t we get your mumsnet vibrator out,,😂

MindatWork · 02/02/2023 13:09

Yes, it’s for ‘vulva owners’ apparently 😒

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/02/2023 13:10

Why are mumsnet hiding the other thread from active? Are we to be so infantalised and patronised that we can't even discuss our opinions on a new product launch without being hidden?

You've put it very well.

I feel reduced by their marketing.

Mavericksaviators · 02/02/2023 15:04

£35 not a chance!!

A £35 vibrator is exactly what I need to spend my much reduced earnings on while I'm on maternity leave.

cunderthunt1 · 02/02/2023 15:21

Yes, but you must own a vulva and a womb to get one

Hadn't noticed that! Naughty Mumsnet

MsFogi · 02/02/2023 15:30

My understanding is that it is a 'special' kind of vibrator to use on your womb in order to bring a smile to your face rather than needing to wrestle with the daily angst of the well known affliction know as 'the taboo surrounding sex and motherhood'. Form an orderly line ladies and people who identify as ladies and people who used to be ladies but no longer identify as ladies but do possess a womb, and anyone else who wants to stimulate their womb (or faux womb).....

How do I get a vulva? Are they expensive? Maybe they offer a discount if I buy both at the same time.

Do I need a womb and a vulva? As well as the whisperer? This is getting expensive.
