How many sexual partners have you had?

Was just thinking about past sexual partners/encounters and wondering what the average number is. I've just totted it up and I've slept with 20 men. It sounds quite a lot but not sure if it's more or less than average. How many people have you slept with? (I'm 40 btw, and with same partner for last 12 years).

As it happens I was thinking about this only the other day. I'm 24 and been with the same guy for 4 years now, but I was pretty wild in my teens, and could count 27, but there may have been more, and there were certainly quite a few others where we didn't go 'all the way' for various reasons.

I'm just reflecting ( with hindsight ) that sexual encounter and sexual partner are very different things . Who knew .Not me when I was young .

I’m 49 and got married at 29 and have been faithful ever since.

Somewhat embarrassed to say, 8 since separating, up until last year I felt like a teenager. In the last year, like so many people, none.

Mid forties only 6.
Recently single so looking to bump that number up significantly in the next few years/decades.

I would say that probably the posters on the sex board are more interested in sex than average and more likely seeking it?
Therefore the figures on here are higher than the average.

I've been on MN for over a decade and only just found the sex board since I've become single after a LTR - I'm now interested in sex way more now I'm starting to have sex with more partners!

1 for me...my husband. I am his one and only. Waited until wedding night, both in our 30's. Absolutely no regrets. Not sure I understand the comment earlier in thread about needing to have more sexual partners to"grow up".

Oh don't ask me, my hey days were in the swinging 60's era.. after the somewhat dreary 50's era, everyone was raring to go.!

Im 52. About 35. Only one woman, as part of an evening with a couple. Half of them in the past 2 years since I was widowed; like zovir I found my sex drive is a whole different animal in perimenopause.

Mid 40s here. Around 25. 5 serious relationships (living together), and the rest mainly brief flings, with a handful of ONS. Current partner is also mid-40s and says he’s had 75 (I’m amazed he was still counting at this point!). My last ex was late 50s and I was only his third. He found my total a bit repulsive I think (prick). Maybe current one finds it laughably unimpressive! (If so he has been too polite to let on).
