Clit piercing. What are your experiences?

I'm toying with the idea of getting a horizontal or vertical clit piericing and wondered if anyone else had one who could give me an honest account of how they affect things.

Do they get in the way during sex and masturbation or are they actually useful and make things better? Or are they purely just decorative? Do they snag on your underwear?

I have no other piercings on my body but I used to have my ears pierced. I let them heal over though because I didn't think it suited me. One extreme to the other huh? 😂

Watching this one as I have thought about it and DH says he would love me to. I had a friend who had it but she said it was a clit hood piercing. I would think dangerous to pierce the clit?

She loved it though anyway

i think you probably mean a clit hood piercing, vertical or horizontal, which is much more common and less risky then piercing the actual clit-which few piercers would do.
I have a VCH, I love it because it seems so naughty :)
I don't notice it's there during everyday life and It doesn't get in the way during sex. I only notice it if I am on top and I get extra sensation from grinding against him.
It is a super quick to heal piercing. It healed far quicker then my other piercings. It felt a little bruised for the first couple of days and has been no trouble ever since.

Well the actual piercing was painful but was over quickly, it was a sharp scratching feeling. Getting my nose pierced was worse though!

PS Mine never catches on underwear or gets in the way, but I think it depends on your anatomy and how prominent your clit hood is. Mine is set quite far back.

@ChiaraRimini thank you so much for your honest advice! And yes I did mean the hood. I'm not game for getting my actual clit pierced as that sounds like constant torture! 😅

I like the thought of it purely for it being naughty too. If it bought more fun to sex/ play that would be an added bonus but not my only motivation for getting one.

How would I go about finding someone to do it? Is it quite specialist in terms of body piercing?

I went to a local piercing/tattoo studio who had previously done other piercings for me. The guy said he does 1-2 a month. So there must be a fair few out there! I guess most body piercers do them.

Yes thanks for the advice.

I don't have anything prominent below, more the Barbie look lol. Clit hood small as well so if I could have it done I think it would show really nicely and yes does feel a little naughty lol

I haven't had a piercing before except ears which was years ago but DH is working away this week so I guess might be a good time to have done.

Just not sure they have a female at the studio to do which would be preferable. Deep breath maybe lol

Forgot to ask, but when you say it healed quickly, how quickly was it? I know you say it was bruised for a couple days but could you do everything as normal straight after the bruising had gone? Or was it a few weeks before everything settled properly?

Was it easy to clean? I'm guessing you have past expertise in caring for new piercings 🙂

I think mine healed within a week. I think they said to avoid sex for 6 weeks and swimming. However I had a spontaneous 3some with 2 guys in a hot tub a week after mine was pierced 😊 and had no ill effects. My life is not normally that interesting I should add.

I nearly split my sides laughing at that. Brilliant!! Whilst I fancy it for a bit of naughtiness and happiness from DH, I shall try and avoid the 3some even if tempted lol

I had a vhp for abut 10 years.Never had a problem.But any good reputable piercer wont pierce your clit.Also make sure you have enough skin to pierce.

Mine healed well,and surprisingly pain free getting it done

@ChiaraRimini - healing took about 6 weeks on the Christina - my ball did sink a little though but my piercer changed the bar for a longer one and that fixed it.
Go for it, I love mine :)

Oh, the very idea of all this piercing,seems awful to me,especially what is mentioned on here. ears are ok, but I am an oldie. so probably the piercers wouldn't pierce old worn out parts ha ha.

I think (I was told) that actual clitoris piercing is illegal, but I know someone who had it done and she didn't have any problems. I believe that it can actually damage the nerve endings and cause long-term damage, happy to be corrected though

I had my labia pierced years ago and the healing time was about 2 weeks for me, chucked a bit of salt water around and job done for me

Well took the plunge. Had it done a week ago and really pleased with it. DH discovered it yesterday and he loves it even more so glad I got over the nerves😁

Adults. It was a male which wasn't ideal and would have preferred a woman but the choice was having it done elsewhere. My friend had it done here and she came with me as a handhold etc and I thought better to go on recommendation. He was very quick so minimised discomfort

Yes DH found it a real treat. He has always been very visual in that way so loves I had done with him in mind
