I have a fairly low sex drive anyway. Think maybe once a fortnight to a month is normal. However me and dh have not have sex since new year and it's my fault. I just have no interest what so ever.

I love my dh and have no issues with him so it's not that.

I have wondered if it's the birth control I am on. I am currently on the Mirena. Could this be affecting it? We have noticed my sex drive dwindling ever since it has been put in. I've had it almost a year now.

If I was to get it removed what could I go on?
I can't have the injection as if gives me migraines
I also can't have the pill that has the same hormone as the injection as it's the same effect. Though I know there are other pills I can try (leaning towards this one)
Don't want the implant. Makes me feel ick
Can't have the copper coil. I was warned off it by the doctor as apparently it can make your period flow heavier and I suffer anaemia

Rather not do condoms if possible. Dh would in an ideal world not wear them as he doesn't like them but he will if it's the last resort. We are already abstaining . Kinda wanna get it back.

Ah...see pregnancy is what we WANT to avoid. Dh is looking at getting the snip soon so that will be a big help but he's only 25 and I think it's going to be a big battle to get the doctors to agree

Whilst we would love to have more children, both pregnancies have fucked my health up terribly and I have chronic back ache. Any more pregnancies could potentially make it so much worse so we have admitted no more for my health

I imagine they're pretty slim. Obviously with out sounding like a downer, you don't know what will happen in the future. My dad had the snip when he was married to my mum in his 30's then they divorced and he wanted children with his new wife so had to have it reversed so it's best to keep options open. Maybe just play around with a few different things till you find something that works for both of you with the snip being a final option maybe?

I don't think they'd be keen TBH. Especially if it's your health at stake, sorry to say they'd recommend you get sterilised instead, despite it being a bigger op.

Would you consider natural birth control methods (tracking your fertility and making sure to only do risky things at non risky times? DP and I have managed to stay pregnancy free for 4 years by just sticking to oral, manual, withdrawal etc most of the month and just doing risky things at non risky times.

Dh is adamant he wants no more children even if we split up. He didn't actually want children in the first place but came round to it for me

I would be very reluctant to do natural birth control especially regarding withdrawal.

We have a case of getting a bit carried away so it's likely he wouldn't withdraw in time
