I believe it went to a vote. A long time ago.

You can't post here til you've been a member for three months, which is a good compromise, I think.

MN can't censor what people want to talk about. There will be sex here, whether it's in sex or chat.

UninventiveUsername · 20/12/2015 22:06

We are all adults here (I hope). Sex is a big part of life and I don't think we should be afraid to discuss it if we need to.

annandale · 20/12/2015 22:06

I like it, I've learned a few things

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 20/12/2015 22:06

I belive the thinking was that the 90 day rule would cut down on trolls, and that people who don't like that sort of thing on MN could just hide the topic.

60sname · 20/12/2015 22:06

Well pretty much every other topic is catered for

Why don't you just hide it if you don't like it? Other people obviously find it useful, interesting or entertaining.

timelytess · 20/12/2015 22:08

Why shouldn't it be? Its Mumsnet. Not all, but most, mums will have got that way by having sex, surely?

VoldysGoneMouldy · 20/12/2015 22:09

Sex is part of normal healthy discussions for adults. Having a topic is a completely natural.

Savagebeauty · 20/12/2015 22:09

I like it.
It beats the feminist topics Grin

Gileswithachainsaw · 20/12/2015 22:09

what's wrong with it. should we all be knitting?

surely it's something adults can discuss sensibly. brainstorm fir ideas or talk about problems or as questions we are too embarrass to talk to friends about.

Pipbin · 20/12/2015 22:10

And it bothers you because.............?

Justmuddlingalong · 20/12/2015 22:10

You can avoid topics that you have no interest in, or you find offensive. A bit like real life. HTH

Savagebeauty · 20/12/2015 22:11

There have been some great threads

TheDrsDocMartens · 20/12/2015 22:12

I was hopeful that the 90 day rule would deal with the perverts but it appears they have patience.

southeastastra · 20/12/2015 22:12

it just seems odd lol usual

DeltaZeta · 20/12/2015 22:15

If you don't like it, hide it.

There are a fair few trolls but the odd useful and/or interesting thread.

Mumsnet is a site for adults. Most adults have sex. I don't think it's that astonishing that there should be a place to discuss it.

Quiero · 20/12/2015 22:18

I was all for it at first to keep all the sex chat in one place but I'm not so sure now. There was a thread the other day where one of the regular perverts was telling women how to give blow jobs - creep.

eastwest · 20/12/2015 22:22

It seems like a logical topic to include given that the whole site is founded on parenting!

ThreeRuddyTubs · 20/12/2015 22:24

Who the fuck would wank over the sex board? It's just another board if you don't like it then hide it

It was very much needed apparently.

Iwanttobeadog · 20/12/2015 22:50

Of the myriad wanking opportunities provided by the Internet who would choose the sex board on mumsnet? Confused

This topic prevents users from posting on it until they have been members for at least 7 days.
