why do men send dick pics?

Been chatting to a guy via Whatsapp, been a bit flirty but nothing more. Out of the blue comes a dick pic..why? And how (if at all) do I respond? He seems nice enough, and I'm looking more for an ego boost than a relationship, and I don't think he's searching for a soulmate either, but even so. And at 9 in the morning??

Unsolicited pictures are because they're total wazzocks. They find it thrilling, hope you'll be suitably impressed, overcome with desire and respond in kind.

Don't respond. Just delete. My friend did reply to one with a PA "ooh what is it? Looks like a penis, only smaller". Officially, I don't condone this...

A variety of reasons, or so I've read, but mainly owing to two things...
a) They mistakenly believe you will find it a turn on simply because if you sent a picture of your loot, they would.
b) The thought of your shock turns them on. They are using you as a masturbatory aid.

Over in the real world - the reality is he is an actual knob for sending it if you didn't request or agree to it.
My friends and I had a bit of a poll and it was unanimous that dick pics actually done nothing for us. I think men believe it makes us horny ...... fools!!

There's quite an interesting article on it here but I think it really boils down to "I met get a picture of a fanjo in return" or "I'm paying you a compliment by saying I'm horny". Some of them will be "I've just forced you to look at my penis without your consent and that turns me on because I'm abusive" - but hopefully those will be the minority.

I have always had a rule that if a dude sends me a dick pic uninvited, I will block him. Doesn't matter how attractive or intelligent he was otherwise, if he has no grasp of boundaries, he's not for me.
