We will all know tomorrow. Just starting this thread for us to kill time. I wasn't fretting over it until this weekend!

Not sure what time our council (wokingham) releases the results -some councils are bang at midnight and others are at 5pm!

No apparent impact of flight from the private sector here. Many more families got 1st choice even for very oversubscribed schools (large town, home counties). Be interested to know the national picture, but it doesn't seem to have affected things for us.

Birth rates are lower for this year as well and getting lower which nationally makes a difference. Interestingly a previously oversubscribed outstanding school in Southwark wrote out to the year 6 parents in our school saying they expected to have spaces after offers day and highlighting how easy the transport links were even though it's a bit further away.

The school DD is going to wouldn't have been a goer 5 years ago. I actually think 61% isn't bad either when you think a lot of people's first is 'we'll give it a punt, you never know'.

I know that's a big drop in City of London but CoL doesn't really have any secondary schools itself (the federation schools are all outside CoL) and the school age population must be tiny. There's only 1 primary school. Not a great data point!
