We will all know tomorrow. Just starting this thread for us to kill time. I wasn't fretting over it until this weekend!

Not sure what time our council (wokingham) releases the results -some councils are bang at midnight and others are at 5pm!

It was on the portal at midnight, not had the email confirmation yet though.

No email here yet, but the portal was updated overnight and DS has a place at our first preference. It’s not a surprise really, as we can see it from our house and he meet two of the other criteria as well as distance, but I’d put two other options just in case. Phew!

First choice :)

Low birth year in our LA - looks like there are only 5 schools that were unable to offer and lots of schools (including Ofsted good) with spaces still.

We didn't get our first choice. Sad son today :(

Also curious what time it appears on the eadmissions portal for London. My older child started secondary in 2021 so it's been a while that we have been through this. So far no updates online!

Apparently emails from 4pm and on portal from 5pm

Waiting for Kent here too - it seems so unfair having already waited four months, to then make us wait all day for it as well!

anyone know the release time for central bedfordshire?

We were still doing allocations until about 10 days ago. We do the first run, then exchange with other LAs then do another run then another exchange. Then a final run. We also have to slot in the medical/social needs panel after the first run and then do allocations if any are agreed and another run to resolve that. Absolutely dreading logging on in 5 minutes to check out admissions inbox!

Thanks to that IPhone update have managed to lock the email account that the email will go to! Changed the email address on eadmissions last night. Assume it is all automatic and will get to us but just an additional layer of stress. We are London so not until 5 and my son is priority one in the admissions criteria so should be ok. But seriously!

First choice here thank goodness. It's a hugely popular school that does really well so we are very relieved!

Is this accurate usually though? Didn't they say the same for the Kent test? Mine was hours earlier for that!

I think the results come in alphabetical order of county name. "S"urrey 5pm ish.

Surrey is 5pm yes as part of the pan London admissions scheme, but so also at 5pm are say Bexley and Westminster...

Alphabetical order has nothing to do with it. Each LA or consortium of LAs has their own system and makes their own decision. Warwickshire released theirs at midnight!

Wokingham came out at midnight in the portal and the email came at about 7am ish! We got our first choice!

What a delight to get our first choice today, two years ago my DD didn't get any of her choices and I did the whole panic, appeal, waiting lists and two school moves before she has settled.

Now current problem is it's a great school, with his sister and DS has changed his mind and wants to go to the closer school with more of his friends. I'm inclined to leave the dust to settle and give the first place school a try.

Massive surprise to get first choice as oversubscribed grammar, out of catchment and although DD1 goes there they changed criteria this year so out of catchment siblings don’t have any sibling priority at all. Absolutely staggered to get allocated it (but very pleased!).

Got first choice here in West Berks. Actually saw it at midnight as dealing with dog toilet trip. Email came through at 6am. They havent updated the allocation tables yet though. I like looking at those.

Relatives in kent have to wait until 4pm. Sorry for all those waiting today.

Might be the same school! Infact must be the same school if it is in Reading.

I’ve just checked my emails from 2022 (our first rodeo!) and it came in at 15.12 - so could possibly be early this year as well
