If the teacher can't find one extra mark, a reviewer won't - they're not looking to find anything.

Can teachers access the mark schemes for the 2024 exams when advising whether it's worth requesting a review of marking?

Yes they can.

Does anyone know from previous years when Next are likely to restock their suits in teenage boy sizes? I bought DS a couple of suits end of July fpr school sixth form to avoid august chaos shopping, but he has been working out a lot over the summer and now needs a 40S suit jacket instead of a 38S and one of them has been sold out in Next for weeks in 40S.

@AIstolemylunch I've had a similar problem with Next being out of stock but I've just ordered from River Island. Not sure of the quality, but not sure my son cares about that! But they had small waisted, long length suit trousers in stock which are like gold dust. Might be worth a look?

I’ve had no support from the school about the scripts or the review, despite emailing. Just an email that someone will call. I’ve also realised that in English schools comprehensive education ends at 16, when it becomes highly selective.

I know that scripts are back because I've had an email from a parent about some of them - but I can't do anything because they've not been sent to me to look at yet. It's frustrating.

Could someone confirm to me that scripts are the student’s exam paper? Just checking I’m understanding the jargon correctly.

Wowsers, so one of the papers went up by 12 marks?! Did they return the reviewed script so you can see where the discrepancies occurred? Huge congratulations!!

Realistically, when would you expect a teacher to reasonably be able to look at a script? I’m guessing by the end of this week dd should have heard back about whether they think it’s worth a review?

Hers will be low priority as it’s not a grade needed to access a course or anything, I imagine they focus on the pass grades first ?

I’ve asked her to review his Literature before sending it off as there are now 3 grades difference between them which whilst not impossible seems unlikely? @MrsHamlet not sure what you think but certainly worth downloading and having a look?

I've asked for DS Eng Lang script back as 1mark off next grade but not received anything yet (as he's not staying at the school he may not be a priority)
