Trinity & Whitgift 10+/11+ exams 2024 entry

Hi everyone,

I'm starting a new thread for those with children who are sitting for the 10+ Trinity and Whitgift exams this year.

I've been lurking for years reading through the 10+ and 11+ past threads, silently sharing in the anxiety, pain and joy of those parents that have come before me 😅.

I can't believe that the time is now here for my DS to sit the 10+ exams.

Are there any other parents that would like to jump on board this thread so we can support each other through the next few months?

Modeweasel. Was this for 11 plus at Trinity and has everyone heard now. We have not had any email from the school as yet and some of the kids only sat yesterday if they were missed the first date for sickness?

I am new user of this platform - recommended by another school mum as i am soo nervous..DS recieved an email for an Interview with W 10+ this Saturday, and a 'Sports Assessment' on Monday, 15th Jan 2024. Parents are also interviewed, amd im nervous as to what the ask..Any tips on how we can prepare DS and ourselves...

DS sat for T and W for 10+ but was not successful for T. We got the interview invite for W yesterday and it said co-curricular scholarship application info will follow later tonight. We haven't heard anything either way for drama scholarship. Has anyone else? Anyone feeling nervous for the interview or just me?

@mumoftwoboyandgirl I just posted about my nerves too. We ran through a few basic questions with DD last night. Why do you like Whitgift etc. Feel like I'm preparing for a job interview too 🙃

Yes i am super nervous for DS and us..I heard they share the results with parents on Saturday - is this the case?

@Hantsmum123 yes not sure if everyone has heard yet they may do batches? Hope you have heard now.

I called Whitgift School about the assessment dates for music/drama, etc and they said it would be sent out later today. Good luck everyone! :)

We haven't heard from Trinity at all (10+); anyone else in the same boat?

@oceanictides0502 do you mean whether your DS got offered a interview? We received our unsuccessful email on 14th December and those we know who got an interview were informed around the same time +1/2 days

We didn't receive the unsuccessful email from Trinity. Even sent an email to Trinity to check but no response.

No, an email on the initial results from the written test. So haven't heard anything at all since the written test.

Just heard positive news from Trinity on the written test - standard email and that they will be in touch re interview from 8th Jan (it's 11th). Anyone heard on the interview process/scheduling at all?

Has anyone been invited for the academic scholarship day at T or W for 11 plus. Basically is the email for interview different if the candidate is being considered for a scholarship. I think W have a separate academic scholarship day....is that right?

W have certainly had a separate academic scholarship interview/day in the past.

Unsure about T though does anyone know?

We have received an interview date for Trinity. The schedule on Trinity's website doesn't mention a separate academic scholarship interview. I understood that all those who write the exams are automatically considered for academic scholarships and offered based on the standard interview.

Not sure about this year for W @Hantsmum123 this is just from fairly recent past knowledge. So who knows!

When is your interview Moresleepandwine? Have you had it today? We have the date for the scholarship assessment but not the interview yet. Still waiting.

We had an invitation for interview email from Whitgift this morning (11+). Just the standard 20-25 minute interview with child and then parents. No idea if scholarship is a separate process.

Congrats on the recall for sports assessment @bigschooldilemma! What sports does ur son do? Sports grounds at T are impressive

He does rugby, hockey and football. We've chosen rugby and hockey for the assessment as these are his strongest sports.
