I might well be here for the 19th all nighter, been trying to keep away from the news and predictions for what results day will bring, but its getting tricky. DD is getting more anxious and frustrated by the day seeing all that's happening.

We keep reminding her shes planning to stay at the same school for 6th form so they should know her well enough whatever results she gets. She's most frustrated about the subjects she won't be taking on to A level though, feeling she won't ever truly have the chance to prove herself in those.

@FoolsAssassin I hope the feeling that the results have been devalued isn’t shown to our kids in anyway. It breaks my heart to think that they would feel that they didn’t deserve the grades they were awarded as this would be really unfair on all their hard work

I hope so too Nard, we’ll have to see how things come out.

@gigglingHyena exactly the same for us - staying on at same school for sixth form but a lot of nerves and "what ifs" see you on 19th for the red eye ..

Results

Well done to those who got their results today.
I’m shocked Scotland is now giving the teacher calculated grades.
I, too, worry that these results will be not taken seriously in the future when people realise it’s from the corona cohort
