Wonderful news from @ReservoirDogs and @MajesticWhine - what a great start to the day.

DS1 still asleep. Two days of work experience has taken it out of him poor thing. Might wake him up about 8.30 or so.

Oneteen · 23/08/2018 07:51

Well done majestic and WhathaveIFound hope you get the one blip sorted.

DD now up Smile

TheThirdOfHerName · 23/08/2018 07:53

Great results MajesticWhine
Once we near 9am I will not be able to congratulate each of your DCs individually, but I am rooting for all of them.

mmmz · 23/08/2018 07:54

@WhathaveIFound well done to your DD (and I hope the odd one out turns out to be a mistake)

whoatethelastbiscuit · 23/08/2018 07:55

Wow, amazing results already, well done Smile ... and fingers crossed for all our dc's still to collect them. DS is asleep, I didn't get to sleep till gone 3, could hear movement then so suspect he had a restless night. School opens at 10 so he hope he manages another hour. Can't believe the day is finally here.

AChickenCalledKorma · 23/08/2018 07:58

Morning all. About an hour to go here. I am feeling proud that I resisted the urge to peek at Dds Add Maths result. And last night, she admitted that she's known that it was available since Monday but didn't know whether to mention it because she does want to collect them all together. Phew!

Sorry to hear about the rogue result Whathave. Hope you can get something sorted with the school to keep things moving forward.

goodbyestranger · 23/08/2018 08:00

A very big congrats to Reservoir and Majestic - a well earned festival!

TheThirdOfHerName · 23/08/2018 08:00

My tips for results day:
Make sure they've had breakfast.
Bring a phone.
Hang back until they need you.

Theworldisfullofgs · 23/08/2018 08:02

Well done everyone.
Currently cooking breakfast and trying to get dd out of bed. Don't think she slept very well...

AlwaysHid1ng · 23/08/2018 08:04

At school. DD has gone to collect, then return to car to open. I am shaking with nerves, but hiding it well from her. Haven’t slept at all.

Very well done to eveyone’s DC for surviving a difficult academic year.

They’re all fabulous.

mmmz · 23/08/2018 08:06

Good luck, AlwaysHiding. I know you've had a rough year and you and your DD deserve a lucky break.

Cherryburn · 23/08/2018 08:08

Always what mmmz said. Really best of luck to your DD

PeggySchuylar · 23/08/2018 08:08

whathave hoping you sort a plan

Reservoir and Majestic huge congrats to your DC.

I'm in the anything can happen camp. Third I like your hang back advice. Last year DD went in with her sister then they both came out with a deliberate poker face so I thought she'd done badly when she hadn't Shock

waiting, waiting, waiting. Might as well set up camp in the downstairs loo as I feel so sick. Never got like this with my others. Just want to hear that DC is in the school of choice. that's all. bugger the actual numbers now.

Oneteen · 23/08/2018 08:09

TerfTerf2 · 23/08/2018 08:14

mmmz have you found AQA further maths?

AlwaysHid1ng · 23/08/2018 08:14

She’s into her choice of 6th form!

8s in English, 7-5 grades for everything else

So so relieved!

cubscout · 23/08/2018 08:15

Flowers to you and your dd Always

Oneteen · 23/08/2018 08:15

Well done to your DD alwayshiding - Fab results!

mummymeister · 23/08/2018 08:16

DC got back in to do A levels but only just with a really bizarre set of marks - unexpected 7's and 3s and 4s. Throws the A levels right out.

eaglefly · 23/08/2018 08:16

Fabulous always - so happy for you both Thanks

Oratory1 · 23/08/2018 08:16

So pleased allways !!!!!
