Ds came back from ocr chemistry saying it was the easiest chem exam he's done and that all three 6 markers were a dream. Good news after the weird biology one. He also said that edexcel maths yesterday was much easier than the first paper. He has been revising hard for maths so I hope it's made a difference.

I'm pleased he's feeling positive, for now at least.

He showered and was out again by 11.30 to meet his friends to play football.

He still has 8 more to do. He doesn't finish until the 21st.

Unfortunate You are so right! As soon as it soooo good! You know the grade boundaries will also shoot up. Such a hard balance.
What would be ideal is if EVERYONE else found everything hard Hmm, but ones own precious snowflake found it all easy peasy Wink Grin.

AQA Biology good here too. Just gone into EdExcel Music - good luck everyone on that. Anyone else got German too?

DD just texted that edexcel biology was 'meh' which is a bit worrying given all the positive responses and the fact she's usually pretty good at it... Confused

dd's back, monosyllabic with tiredness. She's going to do an hour on each history module then have the rest of the day off.

Biology was 'alright' here, DS is off to town with his mates for a well deserved afternoon off from revision. I have never seen him work so hard before and am exhausted just witnessing it.

The stress is making him so grumpy and very difficult to live with....

AQA Biology was 'the best'. I guess that means high grade boundaries.

thanks - I may have had a tear or 2 - DS is very badly dyslexic and has been always in bottom set etc.

He has worked so hard the entirety of his school career and worked incredibly hard over the last 2 years.

Edexcel Biology had a question about gall bladder removal this morning. Dd said she grinned when it came up as I discussed my op and what it meant biologically with Dd last night. Obviously this makes all the pain I had and the GA worthwhile! 😀 Also I correctly guessed good old Darwins finches would come up on Paper 1 and gassed on about it on the school run. Dd said she might listened to my gassing on more carefully for B3!

Eve, what a relief he's finished. You must be so proud of him as he's obviously worked so hard and that goes a long way. What's he hoping to do in September?

Biology and Business Studies here for DS. He's just called to say he was really happy with how both exams went and is off to play footie with mates. I've noticed DS has pretty much stopped revising at all now after having had his head in books for months on end. I feel for them all. 16 exams down and 7 to go, feeling like we're finally in the home straight now. Good luck to everyone.

Edexcel music was fine.

DS said B2 (AQA) was good but he messed up a 6 marker on B3.

I sort of wish I hadn't seen everyone say it was easy now and therefore didn't know the grade boundaries are going to be high.

We have about 6 (not sure??) 16 yos upstairs. DS2 is steering well clear!

6 left next week then freedom for him.
