Whoever it was on the other thread whose dd withdrew from Further Maths ( sorry, can't remember your name) have you been able to persuade her to unwithdraw??

castleontheground · 09/06/2017 09:50

Not looking forward to Dd's exam schedule next week. Very intense (at least one exam every day) and most of her friends are reving up to party on Friday whereas she's still got Sciences to do the week after. This is going on forever......

Quadratilla · 09/06/2017 09:56

DD went to bed early last night and was awake at 6.30am catching up on the election. AQA Biology B2 & B3 this morning followed by Music, German reading and writing this afternoon. She's got a late finish and will be in isolation all afternoon (with about 8 others). Has taken coffee, chocolate and smoothies to get her through!!! She's absolutely exhausted, but when I pick her up this evening she'll have finished 3 more GCSE's.

rainbowjoy · 09/06/2017 09:57

Biology 2 & 3 here seems to know his stuff but Biology is his weaker science that completes 4/10 GCSEs. Still a long way to go in this house with DT not until the 26th. Heavy week next week with 7 exams over 3 days. Ds is doing ok fed up with revising but not stressed or too tired. Luckily we are going away 3rd July so can all look forward to that.

BertrandRussell · 09/06/2017 10:23

AQA Biology unit 2H "super easy" apparently. So scary to hear that........

cantkeepawayforever · 09/06/2017 10:31

Same view here...

ifonly4 · 09/06/2017 10:33

DD has OCR 21st Century Biology and Edxecel Music today. DD wants a music career so lots of pressure here. At the end of this week that makes 6/11 completed. I'll be glad when this week is finished as she's only got 4 exams next week and 3 the week after.

cantkeepawayforever · 09/06/2017 10:36

Music this afternoon, an A-level choice. Has virtually full marks in performing / composing, which ought to be OK but in fact contributes to pressure to to well.

Fleurdelise · 09/06/2017 10:46

Thank you for the new thread.

Bertrand thank you for the update on biology, was that AQA? I hope DS doesn't go against the wind again and says it was hard. Hmm

DS has AQA b2 and b3 this morning, I haven't heard from him between the exams. 6 more exams next week and we're done, roll on Friday!

BertrandRussell · 09/06/2017 10:50

It was AQA but additional science biology not separate sciences biology...........

simbobs · 09/06/2017 11:12

Mine has done AQA Biol 2 and 3, and this is also his weakest science. As previously mentioned no revision done at home. Not heard from him as his phone is playing up. If it was easy that will mean high grade boundaries, presumably. Oh well....

Dancergirl · 09/06/2017 11:13

ifonly my dd has Music this afternoon too. Good luck to everyone.

BringOnTheScience · 09/06/2017 11:14

DC1 doesn't finish until 20th June! FSMQ Additional Maths.

MABS · 09/06/2017 11:15

2 Biologies here this am, could go either way he said!.. yeah even i can work that out :) major election distraction here too

cantkeepawayforever · 09/06/2017 11:15

21st here - MFL writing paper.

Laniakea · 09/06/2017 11:30

AQA biology B2 & B3 both good :)

b2 - lots of photosynthesis & speciation
b3 - circulation & exercise

ifonly4 · 09/06/2017 11:31

cantkeep and Dancergirl, positive vibes are being sent to your DCs for music this afternoon.

pasanda · 09/06/2017 11:35

DS doesn't finish until the 21st! He has 2 exams the week after next - chemistry and physics. I suppose it gives him another weekend to cram it all in.

He is totally shattered though and won't even be able to have a lie in tomorrow as his dad is taking him shopping for a suit for his prom and wants to be in town by 9am so he can be back to revise in the afternoon!

simbobs · 09/06/2017 11:43

That is so diligent. We bought prom suit already as also needed for a wedding tomorrow. We could really have done without this distraction and I would have refused to go if it was not a close family member. I have a sneaking feeling that my ds has grown a bit more since we bought it, though and may have to lengthen the trousers. Ds has already been told that there will be no celebrating until dd has finished her A levels.

Cafeconleche · 09/06/2017 11:46

Same here cantkeep. DS has edexcel music this afternoon, A Level choice, top marks in performance and composition and really, really wants to do well. AQA Bio 2 was 'fine' 'no problems' etc, but he has just been dragged into an English language revision class when all he wants to cram for is music. Fingers crossed for everyone's DCs with exams this afternoon. 5 more next week for DS, plus one the week after. This has been a marathon... And thanks to everyone for all the maths foundation/higher explanations Cake

unfortunateevents · 09/06/2017 11:46

Edexcel Biology this morning was "soooo good" apparently. All his year were happy with it which is great but of course, as soon as they had stopped being delighted with the exam, they started talking about how high the grade boundaries would be! There's no winning, is there?

sluj · 09/06/2017 12:02

OCR chemistry declared "easy " this morning by DS. Now for AQA music.......

MrsK · 09/06/2017 12:05

AQA additional Biology here this morning DD very happy "not gonna a lie, I loved it" 😏, I'm hoping that bodes well. Business studies this afternoon then English language revision class. Four more exams next week including the dreaded maths.

Good luck to all, the finishing line is in sight

cantkeepawayforever · 09/06/2017 12:05

Haha Cafe, DS ran away from an English revision session too....

RaskolnikovsGarret · 09/06/2017 12:17

AQA bio 2 and 3 ok here, although some questions a bit weird. Music exam next, plus a session with her maths tutor. I did my best to dissuade her from the maths revision, but she was insistent.
