HesMyLobster · 16/06/2016 12:29

97% in 3 days?! Crikey, that's good going! Shock

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 12:33

DD has said she's become a bit stalemate and has spent more time watching catch up tv than revising as she's tired and just can't be bothered

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2016 12:36

When she gets her teeth into something.....especially if it involves a screen..... Grin
shes at a school revision session - as soon as shes home and had a spot of lunch she can go for it! If only there were a gcse in completing the course.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2016 13:20

She finished it Grin

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 13:56

DD has rang to say her sickness is back. Every time she sits up she starts choking like she wants to be sick ( we call it bauking here) but when she lays down it goes away Hmm

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2016 14:24

odd Fantasy, is it anxiety do you think? It can make me feel very sick.

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 14:39

I'm Not sure oh she's said she's sick on a night and said physics just isn't going in.

marmiteloversunite · 16/06/2016 15:02

Oh no Fantasy is physics her last exam. My daughter went through an anxiety thing where she was sick a lot. It is so worrying. What has school said about it? Is she still sharing a room?

NicknameUsed · 16/06/2016 15:10

DD is feeling like yours Fantasy she is feeling sick just now, tired and headachey, and is simply tired of revision session after revision session. This time tomorrow it will all be over.

TheDrsDocMartens · 16/06/2016 16:13

Dd1 is the same, ready for the end now. Physics is her least favourite, so even less enthusiastic.

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 16:57

marmite
Last exam is Tuesday yesterday we had 2 so she's knackered from that tomorrow we have 2 physics in the morning and geography paper3 in the afternoon which is drawing graphs then section B of the paper is lots of writing and interesting and decision making
I wish I could say that nick
She said she just can't concentrate on physics she can't revise anymore so isn't and physics is her worst subject but it's only 16/60 to get a C with 23 being a B

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 17:00

marmite
School have said keep revising and working hard it'll all be over soon.
Still sharing which she doesn't mind she just wants to be at home and is craving bacon Grin

NicknameUsed · 16/06/2016 17:16

Fantasy where do you find the 2016 grade boundaries? I can find older ones, but not this year's.

All of DD's exams are AQA.

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 18:09

Hi nickname
Might not be the same as my DD does IGCSE science so don't know if it will be I'd presume it would be
But she just googled Igcse grade boundaries aqa 2015
2016 haven't being published yet and won't be before the exam DD said but generally with the igcse science DD does it's either 16/17 for a C

needastrongone · 16/06/2016 18:24

Hope your DD is ok Fantasy, anxiety is an awful thing.

Re the 13 GCSE's, honestly, DS has really not had an issue. The school gave a massive talk about it when they did their options, suggesting 'less is more'. DS really wanted to do all the subjects, so we chatted with his HOY, who knows him well. She was perfectly happy for DS to have a go. He's a pretty bright cookie, who handles exam stress well. It's not been an issue. I accept it's not for everyone Smile

Physics tomorrow. Dragged DS out for a dog walk, and made him clean out my car, otherwise he would lurk in his room for the day....

thesockgap · 16/06/2016 18:38

28 down now and just 2 more to go tomorrow morning! :D
Today was the fourth Maths paper - think it was the Methods paper with calculator? He said it was "really easy" and he finished with half an hour to spare. Hope he's not counting his chickens!
So just Physics 2 and 3 tomorrow and then it'll all be over..... I'm taking him out for lunch, the poor boy has been so up and down since his Nana died last week that I think he doubly deserves a bit of a treat!

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 18:39

need
She's got a massive migraine it sounds like tiredness/exhaustness stomach ache I've told her to not revise and to lay in bed if she fails it she fails it she's tried her best today and she knows most of barring two topics that's she's never understood so what will be will be.

marmiteloversunite · 16/06/2016 19:45

I hope she gets a good nights sleep Fantasy. Poor thing. It still feels like it will never end but it will all be over soon. Can she come home after the exams?

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 19:48

She's watching east Enders then big brother. She's coming home tomorrow until Monday she'll spend one night and then come home Tuesday! Yay

marmiteloversunite · 16/06/2016 19:51

Fantasy, that's good news. I can't wait for Tuesday afternoon!!

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 21:37

She plans to watch the XFiles back to back marmite then pretty little liars

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2016 21:41

It's showing with dd too. It's clear she is really tired and has had enough. In 8 days it will be over.

marmiteloversunite · 16/06/2016 22:12

Maybe we should start counting the days in "sleeps" like we did when they were little?!
Five sleeps for us. Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2016 22:15

8 sleeps for us Grin

FantasyAndHope · 16/06/2016 22:16
