Juat thought it might be nice to have a small parental support group!

Coping with Teenagers going through Revision / Mocks / STress etc

DD had her mocks before Christmas, can't believe this is the last term that she will HAVE to go to school!!!

Anypone else out there?

Most od dds exams are in the next 2 weeks after half term.
I am being unreesonable to expect her to do more than 2 hours of revision a day.
I don't think so.

Lilymaid · 30/05/2007 11:18

She needs to do rather more revision than that - past papers (especially for science and maths) as well as learning of facts.
DS has maths, double science, history, geography, English (already done the literature part) and French still to do.

chestnutty · 30/05/2007 11:27

Thanks. I'll tell her when she is out of the shower!

chestnutty · 30/05/2007 11:31

Btw can we all have a reunion on 23rd August to see how they all got on?
See if the nagging and worrying on our parts paid off

Lilymaid · 30/05/2007 11:39

My DS has so far got up, had breakfast, watched Sky Sport News and is also in the shower! Oh well, plenty more hours left today.

Milliways · 04/06/2007 16:49

19 is a lot, Milliways!
When is the last one?

Milliways · 07/06/2007 17:58

She has them every day this week & next week, and then a final one the following Wed.

Right, at 15.15 Friday DS finished his last paper (history) for this week. Just next week to look forward to! DS is not commenting much about his experiences though he isn't is despair.

mumof3teens · 09/06/2007 19:50

Only 4 more papers to go - yippee! Off to pick DS1 up from uni tomorrow, so full house again. Can't wait for Fri at 11am - no more GCSEs for 2 years (DS3)

Milliways · 19/06/2007 21:58

I'm feeling worried for DS - hope that he feels that he has done as well as he can compared with others in his year. But it will be worse in 2 years time for the A2 results!

Wow congratulations to your dd (and you)Milliways - your dd must have been a delight to teach!

From what I've read on here about your dd Milliways, she sounds like the kind of daughter that we would all love our dd's to turn out like!

What's your secret?

Milliways · 23/08/2007 10:52

Her Mother is an Mumsnetter of course!
