Only another week to go for DD, but I know some of you have two weeks.

Physics revision as soon as DS is home from Maths. Or was that PS4? Poor bugger, he deserves it. Smile

LineRunner · 11/06/2015 14:19

fun this has been a bloody amazing support thread. You should go for it.

TheWordFactory · 11/06/2015 14:22

I'm glad to say that this will be our one and only GCSE season in Casa Wordfactory!

One of the best reasons to have twins!

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2015 14:23

poppy, that's DD's attitude exactlyGrin

I will be up for one fun - have a DS in Y9 and they do science and RS in Y10.

Littleham · 11/06/2015 14:33

I have a ds in year 9 too. It will be like old times. Smile

ErrolTheDragon · 11/06/2015 15:52

Tranq - poor girl, glad she's feeling a bit better now at least. Hayfever and/or it being too warm at night are buggers.

GloriaSmud · 11/06/2015 16:10

Maths all done and DD's given the usual report that it went "alright". It's so hot here today, they were giving out ice lollies and bottles of water before they went in. 1 more to go ~ physics tomorrow pm.

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2015 17:07

Where do you live that it's that hot?Envy I'm in London and it's a nice sunny day but hardly scorchio!

wed99 · 11/06/2015 17:15

so hot in the RS exam today that DD felt really faint and then a girl did faint. Caused a bit of a kerfuffle but DD said exam was 'all good' - teen speak for it went ok !

Sparklingbrook · 11/06/2015 17:24

Hi all. Not checked in for a while either. But it was DS1s last exam today. Maths calculator paper. He is all done. So what is everyone doing with all the papers and books? Just drag the recycling wheelie round and load it up?

auntpetunia · 11/06/2015 17:32

Ds is well chuffed with rs philosophy as he actually put in a real bible quote! You may remember he often makes them up Shock he said the paper was relatively easy, and like many of the other dc he likes a good argument so will have enjoyed that chance.

Physics tomorrow and then he can have a lie in. I'm taking him to see the staff at the climbing place in Sunday to show them how good his hand is doing. Still no chance of climbing can't grip but looks fairly normal now apart from the thin silver scar across the back of his hand and his very pink pinky (all that new skin )

poppym12 · 11/06/2015 17:38

I'll be glad when they're all over. Ds is taking moody mardiness to a whole new level at the moment.

GloriaSmud · 11/06/2015 17:50

BTM We're in Leicester and it's 25C at the moment. There is a nice breeze though now.

HSMMaCM · 11/06/2015 18:06

Hot in Berkshire. But DD says the exam rooms are boiling.

I've got 8 years before I have to go through this again puts fingers in ears and goes la la la while ignoring A levels God alone knows what format exams will take in 2023. I'm imagining some sort of Minority Report style pre-determination of exam success from birth Sad

ErrolTheDragon · 11/06/2015 18:33

25.5 in Lancashire. Hope DD's room cools down a bit!

SugarPlumTree · 11/06/2015 18:34

I have a 5 year break before round 2 of GCSE'S.

DD found Philosophy hard and got panicky but pulled herself together for Japanese writing.

Unfortunately not a great end to day. Was driving DS home and we were reversed I to by a truck then threatened and intimated to prevent me going to Insurance. Long story, have received an apology, my garage has confirmed the small bit of damage is superficial and I'm going to get a quote, doubt it will be much. DS who witnessed it from the car was upset abd angry though.

Sugar, so sorry - what a rotten end to the day for you. Hope you and DS are OK. Flowers

DD has finished her GCSEs today. Just wanted to say thanks to all on this thread for the support and humour during these weeks. Best of luck to all DC with exams still to complete, and fingers crossed for good news for us all in August Smile

SugarPlumTree · 11/06/2015 19:06

We're fine thanks Whyayepetal, could have been a lot worse if he hadn't have heard me hoot as warning and braked.

Would also like to say thanks for support (and I have really whinged on here) and good luck for the rest of the exams.

Can we have a Year 12 one next year?

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2015 19:14

Oh Sugar, I missed that - how horrible and scary.

Yes deffo up for that - let's just keep on keeping on!

Horsemad · 11/06/2015 19:25

We have to keep posting! Smile

SugarPlumTree · 11/06/2015 19:37

Cool Smile

HSMMaCM · 11/06/2015 19:38

Oh sugar :(

Whyayepetal is it nice in post GCSE world ?

Sparklingbrook · 11/06/2015 19:43

It's all a bit odd around here post GCSE. DS1 came home all full of the joys then had a massive row with DS2 over the PS4, shouted at everyone and was generally arsey.

Do you think it's all a bit of an anti climax?
