Only another week to go for DD, but I know some of you have two weeks.

Would it be possible to find the first OCR Biology paper online?

DS1 today has told me some things which have made me curious re a question about blood alcohol level, and the graph didn't even make sense (to him).

spudmasher · 10/06/2015 20:10

Well it's all sounding a bit more positive on here today. Sounds like lots of DC have turned a corner.
My DD said history was ok and came home to clear out and remodel her room. She's now requesting a trip to Ikea on Saturday.
Her new college published it's term dates today so she knows when she's starting which helps her get her head around the big break.

Ashbeeee · 10/06/2015 20:18

So a pretty stressful start today with DD unable to find both pairs of glasses and it seems I'd recycled her 'lucky' evian water bottle Sad. Lots of shouting. she left the house looking like Alice Cooper and with no breakfast. I dropped her off on the way to my customer Meeting so managed to calm her down. Then we realised that she still had nail varnish on. Bollocks! Luckily student services has remover.
Exam (nazi Germany) went OK but no questions on Jews apparently. Confused.
2 more to go. Yay.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 21:01

Lynette, have you tried the exam board website? Or The Student Room? They had one of the Maths papers on there last week.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 21:03

I find it bizarre that Nazi Germany exam had no questions on Jews! Shock

HSMMaCM · 10/06/2015 22:09

Sugar - did you get the dictionary ?

Another day, another GCSE...

I managed to sleep in till 5.05am this morning. Exciting stuff!

General Studies and Maths today.

hullywully · 11/06/2015 06:23

As a teacher of your, not so little ones, I'm thrilled that you all care
enough to use this thread. Good on you! Wonderful examples of parents. I wish them all the best of luck. Don't forget to give yourselves a big treat once their exams are over. It sounds like you deserve it. A weekend in Champneys maybe? :-) x

hullywully · 11/06/2015 06:26

Oh and for those of you wanting to see the papers, they'll be available online in August.

OddBoots · 11/06/2015 06:26

Good luck to all those with exams today.

We have none today which is a relief as it has been pretty relentless and DS seemed quite down and tired when he got in from school yesterday. He said the history exam went okay he was just starting to feel a bit drained.

DS is looking forward to the weekend, we are taking him in his prom suit to the nearest big Asda, he has a booking there to get a 3D model of himself printed. He is really interested in 3D printing so he is delighted this is possible, he thinks he might pose like this to show off the bright red lining in his bright blue suit!

TeenAndTween · 11/06/2015 06:27

I'm awake early again too - and DD doesn't even have an exam today!

Horsemad · 11/06/2015 06:45

Nothing for DS2 today. Physics revision instead. Good Luck to any exam takers!

OddBoots, the 3D model sounds brilliant! Smile

TorresTourist · 11/06/2015 06:47

Physics and then it's all over until the 13th and 20th. Leavers assembly tomorrow and then nothing until September.

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2015 06:54

hullywully, I like your thinkingSmile

SugarPlumTree · 11/06/2015 07:05

Thanks for asking HSM, pleased to say we did.

Rubbish night sleep as gallbladder kicked off then just as that settled dog wanted to go out. In fairness she shot out the door so clearly needed to. But then I waited and waited before eventually found her having a rest in the garden.. Lots of caffeine for me today.

Better check DD awake.

LineRunner · 11/06/2015 07:12

Oh God, yes, caffeine.

I think I'll make DS boiled eggs for breakfast. Give myself some purpose before I tailor yet another cv to go in someone's bin.

I had a cracking row with OH yesterday, as well. And a hospital appointment with a consultant whom the NHS had presumably dragged out of a circus and stuck a badge on.

Mind you, at least I have got Littleham's toilet horror.

LineRunner · 11/06/2015 07:13

haven't

See, I go incoherent just thinking about it.

motherstongue · 11/06/2015 07:19

I like the pose Oddboots!

Latin went well here yesterday. He has RE today which is a favourite subject and being taken at A level mainly because this boy could argue for an Olympic sport and there seems to be a fair amount of debate in his RE classes. So hoping for good things from today's exam!

Physics tomorrow then my boy comes home, yeah! He's home on study leave for 5 whole days before heading back to sit statistics and the final Latin paper.

I'm another one not sleeping well at the moment, hoping I can have a wee snooze lounging in the garden in the sun this afternoon.

Good luck to everyone still slugging away at exams.

SugarPlumTree · 11/06/2015 07:26

Oh Linerunner, that sounds hard going Flowers Hope the job hunting luck changes very soon.

Maybe when all this is over we'll all sleep properly again

bigTillyMint · 11/06/2015 07:32

Oh, it's not just me not sleeping well then? Mind you late nights and early mornings don't help.

HSMMaCM · 11/06/2015 07:38

Thanks hullywully. I'm amazed at all the extra time and effort teachers put in to help our DCs.

OP posts:
LineRunner · 11/06/2015 07:43

I wonder how their teachers are sleeping?!

auntpetunia · 11/06/2015 07:56

I like your style hully and huge thanks to all the teachers who have given up evenings and weekends for our DC since about Feb half term in my case.

RS philosophy here today, but ultra confident ds says he could quote lord of the rings as long as he makes it sound important enough (gulp) I HOPE he doesn't. Good luck everyone the end is in sight 5 more after today. Oh and I slept fine today so much so we all nearly overslept, but thanks to my annoyingly noisy neighbour we all woke up at 7!

Mellifera · 11/06/2015 07:57

I think some of their teachers will be nervous for them. I used to be, when I was still teaching. Had a fear of them oversleeping and turning up too late.

When invigilating I was doing my best expression of "you can do this!" mixed with "don't even think about cheating".

We also always gave them a warning 5 mins before the end. DD tells me the don't do that at her school.

It's Maths and RS today for DD. Can't wait for the weekend, it's been a tough week for her.

Littleham, I hope the smell has gone.
Liney, hope you are ok (frequent namechanger, you may not remember me)

LineRunner · 11/06/2015 08:03

Thanks, Sugar, Mellifera.

Looking on the bright side, being 'between jobs' means I have been around for DS during his exams whether he likes it or not
