Just out of interest Tilly, where did her other dresses come from?

bigTillyMint · 03/06/2015 20:04

ASOS. They seemed to have a lot of long dresses. Cheap as chips, so I'm not sure what kind of quality they will be...Smile

SugarPlumTree · 03/06/2015 20:06

DD'S dress was nice and cheap from ASOS ( short one) and seems fine

dingit · 03/06/2015 20:08

Thanks, off to look...

TheWoollybacksWife · 03/06/2015 20:11

DD's dress was from Quiz and looks lovely on. Strapless and navy blue with sparkly bits on the empire line. Most of the long dresses were £70 or less.

Mellifera · 03/06/2015 20:23

DS says German (Edexcel) was ok, Listening last question incredibly quickly spoken in comparison to the rest.

DD has Maths tomorrow, it's one of her A Level choices, so no pressure Confused

mummytime · 03/06/2015 20:29

DD ordered two dresses from ASOS, it was actually hard to choose between them they were both lovely. And I'm happy as it didn't cost the £200+ lots of people seemed to think they needed to spend. (DD didn't really want to spend that much - as we're not sure how often she will get to wear it afterwards.)

stayathomegardener · 03/06/2015 20:50

Unit two maths tomorrow.DD 's least favorite, solid on all but two types of question (A and B mark types according to her tutor) So should be fine and
DD should pass but I find myself wondering what happens if she fails maths AND English, I am sure you can only resit one?

Horsemad · 03/06/2015 21:02

Surely you can't only resit either Maths or English? Shock Most jobs/further ed courses require a Pass at GCSE in both subjects don't they?

mummytime · 03/06/2015 21:23

You can resit both, but if you had to you might have to do a "foundation year" before doing your proper course.

ono40 · 03/06/2015 21:59

Maths tomorrow, have a horrible feeling that Edexcel is going to be evil like it was with IGCSE. Have told DS to be calm and read the questions twice. I can't believe there is still a week and a half of this stress left, I have eaten my bodyweight in chocolate digestives!

BackforGood · 03/06/2015 22:28

Am i the only one who gets all worried when people say things like 'music tomorrow', or 'futher maths today' as dd is doing both those subjects but we dont have those exams on the timetable? Grin Rationally I tell myself its a different board, but it does make me fret.

Dd was unexpectedly upbeat after the German.... its not one of her stronger subjects so maybe that means less pressure.

Littleham · 03/06/2015 22:39

Well at least you have been shown the exam timetable BackforGood. My dd is independent to a silly degree & I have not seen it. She wrote the exams on my calendar.....just hope she didn't leave any out. Hmm It freaks me out when people talk about exams not on my calendar too.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/06/2015 23:04

I printed the timetable off the school website so I'm pretty sure it's right - but have double checked it a couple of times. BackForGood, it was Additional maths today; tomorrow is one of the Edexcel maths (not sure if calculator paper or not?), maybe other boards too then the FM DD is doing (it's an igcse, darned if I know what board) isn't till the week after next.

AmazingDisgrace · 03/06/2015 23:13

Both German and Geography were "ok" I think he's roughly half way through now so I'm not surprised we're down to monosyllabic answers.

BackforGood · 03/06/2015 23:17

Yes, dd has "ordinary maths" tomorrow and "geeks maths" (her words not mine Grin ) as 2 of the last ones, well into June.

mummytime · 04/06/2015 06:31

If you are really worried about possible "missing exams" this link leads to all of the different exam boards and their schedule of exams.

TranquilityofSolitude · 04/06/2015 06:41

Maths today. It's never been a favourite so there's a bit of anxiety but at least we're on the way to getting it over with at last.

11 to go!

TheCheeseAlarm · 04/06/2015 06:52

Computing was 'fine'. Odd that.

Maths today which is DS's favourite but (and it's a big but) he has to get an A* to get into the VIth form of his choice. He has a tendency to make silly mistakes so fingers crossed and good luck to everyone.

Mellifera · 04/06/2015 07:17

Good Luck to all the Maths takers (probably everyone?)!!

dingit · 04/06/2015 07:24

Sitting here smug today as dd has no more exams this week ( done maths)
Not looking forward to her last week, history and 3 sciences.

Good luck to all the maths peeps today.

LineRunner · 04/06/2015 07:40

Yep, maths today for my DS and for OH's DD.

That's then the end of her exams, but DS will have another 11.

LynetteScavo · 04/06/2015 07:44

Ahhhh....really hope maths goes ok. I can't bring myself to wish DS good luck in case it is somehow unlucky. Instead I tell him I love him about 50 times before he leaves the house. Some times I add "have fun" or "be good". Today I said "Eat well and prosper" while piling extra snacks into his bag. Confused

SugarPlumTree · 04/06/2015 07:45

That's harsh for your DS Linerunner Flowers

Fingers crossed. For all Maths takers today. Think DD finding morning exam shock to the system. She is finishing a week today but warned me she is very worried about next week.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 04/06/2015 07:55

Love the "ordinary maths" and "geek maths" Grin
We're just off to OM in a mo - wish us luck!
