Your tales of upside down/ cycling/ not bothered children are making me feel better.
DD has come downstairs and put on a DVD of Lilo and Stitch and is singing Hawaiian Rollercoaster ride at the top of her voice........

auntpetunia · 10/05/2015 19:17

Oh these have made me laugh out loud, DS has decided he'll get up a bit earlier and "gen up" on some bible quotes, apparently he usually makes them up Shock.

bigTillyMint · 10/05/2015 19:20

Oh SugarPlum. It is hard.

AuntP, I like his style, making them upGrin

TheWordFactory · 10/05/2015 19:21

DD says she makes then up ap.

'You just say something kind and spiritual, Mum .'

Fortunately her next school give not a shiney shit if she passes her half GCSEGrin.

Littleham · 10/05/2015 19:26

oh please post some of the 'made up' bible quotes. Grin They should get extra marks for being so inventive.

bigTillyMint · 10/05/2015 19:27

I am certain DD didn't learn any quotes last year when she did her RE!

She has got to learn some English quotes for next week though - I don't think you could get away with making them up!

Littleham · 10/05/2015 19:30

I've just asked dd if she should learn quotes for RS and she said (& I quote) ...

'No, we just have to learn stuff like do not kill, although I'm severely tempted'. Grin

LynetteScavo · 10/05/2015 19:40
Grin

I was told that although DS isn't good at understanding other peoples point of views, he would be given quotes to learn.

DS1 made up his own quotes for his RE mock exam......not a good result. Apparently he didn't think his teacher would notice. "She's Catholic...she probably hasn't read the Quran" Hmm

TheWordFactory · 10/05/2015 19:45

'Thou shall not be a sinner lest thou find thyself sinned against .'

SugarPlumTree · 10/05/2015 19:46

Grin at these, cheering me up no end.

HSMMaCM · 10/05/2015 20:36

Thinking of working out how I get to mark RS exams now. Could be a good laugh

SugarPlumTree · 10/05/2015 20:55

I'd be up for that ! So 8.53pm night before the exam and DD comes in to say she is going to do some revision amd part of FB group chat who are revising.

CoffeeBeanie · 10/05/2015 21:07

Reading about hanging upside down off bars: I found DD unicycling without helmet today (she can't unicycle, it!s Ds's). Teenage brains are weird things.

CoffeeBeanie · 10/05/2015 21:30

SPT better late than never!

Horsemad · 10/05/2015 21:46

Hello all, well after a whirlwind weekend of partying for DH's birthday, I'm coming back down to earth with a bump!
Had to buy pens today, they have to be a certain kind and I've been searching high and low for them. Still didn't manage to find the one, but hopefully found an acceptable substitute. Smile

Good Luck for this week everyone, DH & I have been looking at a weekend away just for us after the exams are over. I cannot. wait. Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/05/2015 22:01

DD2 hasn't done any RE revision this weekend Shock she's been concentrating on Biology for Tuesday. As for RE "All you need to know is Love Thy Neighbour and Catholics are against anything to do with sex" Grin

She just had a shower and has her pencil case all ready. Pens, pencils (lead and coloured) and highlighters all bought yesterday.

Good luck to all our DC

ErrolTheDragon · 10/05/2015 22:57

Having read the various inventive approaches to RS I almost wish my DD was doing it Grin.

I was away most of the w/e at DBs wedding, she seems to have been revising chem and biol with slight hiccup of having lost her biology revision guide (DH dutifully went out and got her another, I think the last copy in town).

Good luck to everyone doing Rs (anything else?) tomorrow.

SugarPlumTree · 11/05/2015 07:06

Here we go, good luck for those with exams today Smile

TheWordFactory · 11/05/2015 07:25

She who doth not revise shall live in a vale of tears.

Grin.

Just RS for DD today.
Then both of mine have French tomorrow morning and biology in the afternoon.

HSMMaCM · 11/05/2015 07:40

She who doth stay up late the night before trying to learn it all at once shall verily be tired and grumpy come the morning.

CoffeeBeanie · 11/05/2015 07:42

Good luck for RS to all who do it. I told DD to just write something "kind and spiritual" (tongue in cheek) - she was in stitches. At least it lightened the mood.

WF very apt "quote".
DD has French & Biology tomorrow too.

Found out that the main/only exams officer at DD's school has just left a couple of weeks ago, they recruited quickly and the replacement starts today! What on earth is going on in that school with the new head?

bigTillyMint · 11/05/2015 07:43

HSM, that was me 30-odd years ago!

Just Citizenship this afternoon for DD. Then same as TWF tomorrow, gulp.

I feel sick. Don't know about DD!

auntpetunia · 11/05/2015 07:46

DS's just gone. His parting quote whether made up or not was "and God said I hate divorce".......he's calm and laughing at my panic, which is good as it's 90% work crap and only 10% him today Confused

dingit · 11/05/2015 07:58

Morning all. Hope all your DC are ok this morning.
Dd was ok last night, woke at 5, snuffling and wheezing. Not sure if it's a cold coming or nerves. Got told to stop nagging when I asked her to do her inhaler.
RE and Citizenship today. Then 2 hours of English intervention. Not overly happy with this, it's too much, would rather she came home, had a rest and food, then studied on her own.

Horsemad · 11/05/2015 08:09

Good Luck everyone! Tomorrow is THE day for us. French x 2 and Biology x 2. DS2 is stoic and revising hard. I feel he's been left to his own devices a bit as his errant brother has taken up a lot of our time with A Levels this year. Hmm
