Can anyone suggest a good company that will help me choose what school my child should go to?

I am looking for a list of companys, (anywhere in the UK) who would help me in finding a good school for my 16 year old boy. He is currently at an Independent School in Scotland. We are moving down to England. I just need someone to help me through the whole process. As I really woudn't know where to start. I dint mind how much it costs or where I need to go to get the best help as possible from a professional company!

You don't need to pay for this! Have a look on the internet for the schools in your new location and send off for the prospectus. Very easy, why pay when you can do all of this yourself? If you can't be bothered/don't have the time I'm more then happy to do this for you for a fee Grin

Thats the problem. I have looked through that site top to bottom. And I am really fed up of the whole thing now. (no offence) but I would just like some professional advice to help me along the process. We are moving to Knightsbridge in London.

Is that Westminister School? It does look good. Can I also ask, I noticed last week that there was a post about a schoolschoice company that was web based that did that kind of thing. I think that was what it was called. Does anyone know this website. Because I cannot find it anywhere here, and i defo saw it last week. I was going to contact them. I think they delt with that kind of stuff! Thankyou.

Jajas, I know there may not be that many, but I just want the best for my child. At the moment, he travels for an hour and a bit on a minibus to get to the school. So I really just want the best school for him that he would be suited to, I dont want to make the wrong descision. Because I have already been through all of that before. But thanks anyway.

Southeastastra, unlike some, some people do have work to do, and need to work for a living. Im sure many more of you would agree. I am not being lazy or anything. But a single parent, who runs his own business, and works almost 24/7, does not really want to come home after a days work and search for hours on end for schools, (as much as I would love too!). Especially with house moving ect,, so if a professional company would do it for me it would be a great help.

Is this for real? You're moving from Scotland, not Mongolia.... Westminster is at the top of the tables...

If you genuinely need help, I suggest speaking with a relocation company, but they cannot know your children as well as you do, so would not really be equipped to make a better decision than yourself, or indeed your son (most 16yo I know can make their preferences known quite easily).

The Good Schools Guide is a great place to start - there's the book and the website. There are certainly agencies which will do the work for you, and the Good Schools Guide will point you in their direction - they are probably their advertisers. Good luck! It's tough moving from one country to another.

No need to speak to a relocation company, im just moving from Scotland. the whole point is that I would like a professional company to help me. Not being offencive or anything, but are you a professional about schools in London?

Can you just be blunt, (yes, or no) is there any companys that will help me?

I'd say the parents on here have far more experience and knowledge of schools then any professional company Reece. People are trying to help you.

Maybee they do then. I didnt say that there not. I am gratefull that some people are trying to help. But other people are just taking the you know what to be honest. If parents on here are good than any professional compnay.... what school in London should I choose for my boy to go to?
