‘Woman’

I know. It was almost predictable.
The fight goes on.

Happysnappydays · 25/08/2026 10:22

There's been very little about this - council workers should be able to go about their business with fear of toxic substances. Can't believe it's reported as a woman.

Backtoschooloncemore · 25/08/2026 12:34

Police (and media) are lying about the man’s sex.

Gingerkittykat · 25/08/2026 18:19

I wonder what the substance was that led people to believe it was toxic enough that a street needed to be closed.

Happysnappydays · 26/08/2026 07:18

Surely obvious that they closed the street because they didn't know what it was - most adhesives/varnishes would give off a chemical smell as you tried to remove them

Wouldn't it be nice if this individual - if found guilty - was asked to pay towards the cost of the police response and the clean up operation.

JustPlainStanfreyPock · 26/08/2026 09:45

Woman? Aye, right...

Wouldn’t it be nice if the police didn’t pretend men’s crimes were women’s.

AuntieBiotics · 26/08/2026 12:14

It would. And you are probably correct that the "30 year old woman" is a 30 year old man in a dress. But I don't think name/photo has been released yet.

Adam (Eve) Shaw is a trans from Morningside, Edinburgh who was the subject of a high-profile Scottish court case.
The Trial: In July 2023, Mr Shaw stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He was accused of sending a threatening social media message on X (formerly Twitter) directed at Joanna Cherry, who was then the SNP MP for Edinburgh South West.
The Message: The tweet in question stated, "STG [swear to God] I am gonna pop Joanna Cherry," in response to a news story about the politician. Cherry testified that she interpreted "pop" as a threat to be shot and felt it posed a serious risk to her safety.
The Verdict: Mr Shaw maintained that the post was not intended as a genuine threat. The sheriff acquitted Shaw, returning a verdict of not guilty.

What a delightful "woman". Sigh.

God these violent men really are a sacred caste aren't they? I hate that these crimes get reported as ours, it's so risible.
