The poor Queen looks like she’d rather be anywhere else 🤣

Apparently it was meant to be in Australia but they backed out as the costs escalated. Glasgow stepped in provided they could use existing facilities and the whole thing was scaled back to something more manageable.

“Apparently”? There’s no secret about it, it’s been discussed openly and on the news a lot when it happened.

I was at the opening ceremony and what they didn’t show on the tv was the audience waving their phone flashlights like a lighter when 500 miles was being sung. Looked amazing and gave me goosebumps.
